    XS...15 years from now.

    Hey everyone,

Just a question: What do you think XS will be like in 15 years? Will it still exist? Hopefully it will. There are so many things that the future holds... Will XS be one of them?

in 15 years hardware "overclocking" will be nothing but a memory since processors will be asynchronous (as in no clock speed to increase).
I used to have links here demonstrating how awesome I am, but it's been so long that they're not very relevant (and the pictures have disappeared), so I guess I'll have to get working on new stuff.

If you are the CEO of AMD, I am sure you could just "take" as many as you want. Although I predict that AMD will be forever gone, as will be Microsoft, Apple and Intel. x86 will be long gone too.

All the companies you just listed will still exist in 15 years.

    This site will be gone.

Everyone will be in different parts of their lives and some may return to playing with PCs.

I predict that cpus and gpus will actually be larger than they are now, as each type of processor will consist of many cores working together seamlessly.

Houses will still be made of wood and the flying car will not of happened yet.

We will have or will about to be fighting a war in eastern asia.

15? Try 1.5. In 1.5 years I bet this site will have degenerated to the likes of hardocp.

I think I will not be playing with computers to the same extent I do now in 15 years.

To express the dark side of my mind, I suppose I will be dead in 15 years with my lifestyle...
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.

Dying is highly over rated, living well is the best revenge.

As far as the first statement goes, I could have made that same one in 1982....yet here I am volt modding a video card instead of snuggling up to a nice warm...well you get the idea...

I have more faith in the mods here than that...deleting the idiotic posts and booting the trolls...there seems to be great mods with no power tripping going on...

    Salut

Things that must happen to keep XS

    1. Mods keep working here.
Unless they get bored or through attrition , the quality of moderation has survived enough crises over the last few years that I think they all have proven themselve MORE than equal & adequate to teh tasks

    2. Our economies & infrastructure survive the next few years well enough that we have an internet and can afford the connections and power required to be connected to it. (everyone start covering their roofs w/ Solar cells NOW! (get lots of batteries also, since we have alot of our interactions in the dark.)

    3. I have a feeling that large-scale transport will diminish due to energy costs, so that this venue may become even more heavily used than @ present. Can our technical developement keep up w/ that? time will tell.
