    asus p5gd2 premium problems!

    Hey

I have just received my P4 640, but i am having some problems to get past 250FSB. No matter volt It wont go past 250 FSB. I have also tryed lower the multiplier to 14x but still won't go past 250fsb.

I have set the pci speed to 33.33, but seems it isn't locked, when I check clockgen it is 41.. If I clock with clockgen it freezes just with 1mhz overclock!!

Anyone who knows what the problem can be?

I am using the newest bios 1008

Yep guys, PCI-E and PCI buses are not locked on any 915P board, some boards clock higher and others.... well, you see.

I'm using a P5GD2 Deluxe, no problem until 245fsb, from there to 258 the boards sometimes fail at boot (USB initialization), past 250fsb pci-e lan sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

Acuaviva, glad to see you here.

You can use the Asus Update utility to flash to 1008 bios.

About software clock adjustments this board is a fuc$&%ing crap

Clockgen does not work (freezes due to different PLL)
    AiBooster does not work (freeze)
SetFSB does not work (PLL seems correct but still freezes)

    Looking forward to a 925XE.

    Regards,
    Apocalipsis.
