so does it make up for the lower oc? or do you get higher scores benching with the stock timings and higher ocs? im talking artifact free
glad to help you push past the 8k mark, great score.Originally Posted by SIK_L_CELL
@saaya: So far it seems to varry from card to card. I get the same maximum clock speed, but without more cooling it does artifact a little more.
I used to have links here demonstrating how awesome I am, but it's been so long that they're not very relevant (and the pictures have disappeared), so I guess I'll have to get working on new stuff.
with more cooling it artifacts a little more? then remove the extra cooling! j/k
you mean with the tweaked timings it artifacts a little more?
for me (and a few others it seems) running the tweaked timings causes more artifacts when running at max OC unless extra cooling is added to the ram. i get no artifacts at stock speed with these timings.Originally Posted by saaya
hope that clears it up.

Tried the timings.

So logically when you turn down the timings you lose max mhz... Just like with ram in PC? Hehe...
The question then is if it gives more performance with low timings low mhz or high timings high mhz...
Im not gonna meddle with my timings if my max mhz drops... I think you can max gain .% performance and its just not worth it :P But thats just me...

Caused mine to lock up and artifact. I'll have to try with individual settings one at a time.

Anny news on the max mhz posibel?
Nice results. What type of watercooling do you use on your X850XT PE?Originally Posted by SIK_L_CELL
And how many volts do you use on your gpu?

This is what I see when I open the mem config in ATI Tool 0.0.23 on X850 PE
try atitraytool!
I see the same with ati tool 0.0.23 on x850xt pe...
edit:
the timings didn't work
computer reboots in all benchmarks, perhaps it is the psu, but i don't know.

Does anyone have the full list of the stock timings?
it actually varies a bit between bios/manufacturers.Originally Posted by Fosco

ya know I tried those on my card and not only did I lose performance rather than gain any it also lowered my OC lol. odd eh? hmmm back to the tweaking drawing board.

Updating my rig and my sig.....
Quote from ëxperiment (EOCF)- Hold up a paper with 3-7-7-15 writtin on it and say, "these are your mom's timings."
did a little test changning just TRP and the rest stock timings yesterday:
card is a X800Pro Vivo@XT PE (AGP), no v-mods
maxclock TRP 5 is 625MHz:
Drago low: 445.0
Drago high: 222.9
Nature: 249.9
625MHz with TRP 6:
Drago low: 445.0
Drago high: 222.3
Nature: 247.7
and now for the interesting...maxclock TRP 6:
660MHz:
Drago low: 446.6
Drago high: 223.3
Nature: 256.3
car high and low actually managed 670MHz
haven't tried with the timings you posted though. so don't know how that would work with TRP 6...
Corsair Obsidian 750D - MSI Z77 MPower - i5 3570k @ 5.0GHz - NZXT Kraken X60 - 2x8GB 1600MHz CL9 - 2x Asus GTX 660 DCU II SLI - 2x Intel 330 180GB SSD @ raid0 - Cooler Master Vanguard 700W
Thanks for the timings - awesome! Got 90 more points in 3Dmark05 at stock settings.
I didn't back up my original settings - assuming the reset button would bring everything back to stock - anyone can give me the stock timings for an ATI x850 xt pe pci-e ( ATI version)
Thanks
Mike
