well, I wouldn't go THAT far, lol...
The 6600GT is a GREAT GPU, but it doesn't have the power in Drago or Nature to ever match x800XL... this is a compare with Gocchin's insane 6600gt clocked to hell and back packing over 3300mHz of FX power!!!
He wins where he SHOULD, in the system tests (due solely to the CPU) but where the GPU steps in, it's no comparison.
PLUS, my x800XL has only 489/612 clocks from 400/500... on AIR. When one of the phase change guys gets ahold of an X800XL with a 3.4gHz++ FX it'll be 37k++ easy!!!!

Nice work Charlie on air, looking forward to the DI runs.

Rather than the 6600Gt better to compare to my 6800 score

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8325950

which had 16 pipe mod and was runnijng on air at similar card clocks. Although my score is higher I am running FX-55, LOD +3 and the 6800 has massively "bumped" score in nature at 3+ LOD. Take all that away and the X800XL has the match of most nvidia cards in 2001 I would say ( not SLI'd of course ).

What do you think you will top out at Charlie ?

    Regards

    Andy
