    Socket 754 Overclocking Limits?

Hi I'm new to these forums (but not new to overclocking.. www.ocforums.com).

Perhaps there are a few people on here with Socket 754 setups with extreme cooling/water cooling.

I'm wondering how far these processors can go? I can't seem to get any faster than the one I have below. How are others experiences?
    Please share.

    Check sig...

Been to 2.9GHz, couldn't break 3.0GHz though. All on air...

With my old 3400+ mobile clawhammer I got similar results but with more volts, also on air.

The secret for S754 is the mobile chips.
    Formerly XIP, now just P.

Α64 3200+ 754 socket Vcore=1.744 custom watercooled 2550MHz stable for video encoding and Maths.
It is not good stepping as you can understand.
Only in winter ran at 2595MHz but temps are near to zero..

My CPU is 1.6ghz stock and I run it at 2.2ghz with only stock voltage. I'm sure I can go MUCH higher.

Here's mine. It is a 3400+ newcastle 0432. It will bench at 2.75 but not stable at all. At 2.695 it is 48 hour prime stable.

WeakSauce, what is your complete stepping? I also have a 3400+ NewCastle 0432 BUT It's not stable when I pass the 2.55GHz. And it seems to not like my TCCD's Samsung TCCC runs great, TCCD doesn't Cooling: Zalman CNPS 7000B Cu

I've had 3 s754 CPU's go through my hands, two 3700+ Clawhammers and one 3700+ Newark.
The first Claw sucked, only did a little over 2.6ghz 3D-benchable on air.
The second Claw was great, did mid-2.8ghz 3D-benchable on air, I had it to 3.2ghz 3D under dry ice.
This current Newark is good too, 3D on air in mid-2.8ghz range (with lots less volts than Clawhammer) and 3D under dry ice at 3.3ghz

Skyline, I'm sorry I don't know. I am too lazy to pull the hs off and I never wrote it down when I got it. All I looked at was the week which is 0432. Download CBID and look at what version yours is. If it's a version .6 or 2.6 they will clock higher. If it's a .5 or 2.5 will clock lower than the .6 and 2.6. Here's a ss of mine in CBID.

Sorry to hear that Skyline. They started making the .6 version at week 0432 but looks like you were unlucky.
