can you actually get those PC4800 in a 2x256 Dual Kit yet? Does it really matter if they come in a kit? It looks like 2x256MB are not in retail channels yet - Digi4me and Newegg don't have them yet but they have sinle 256MB sticks....

Do you have any info on availability of those 2x256MB kits in US ?

EDIT: i had to edit that post for clarity

I want to be able to buy atleast two 512MB sticks separately even if buying them in a kit will be far off. Although I imagine the availability of both of those items are intertwined. Can we have a date no matter bewildering it may be OPB? Weeks, Months, 2006?

I ended up ordering a gig of LC (the bloody day before LE and LA became available)

What can I expect to get from it on an MSI K8N neo2 and an FX-55 and at what voltage?

Sorry for the O/T question, I'm just worried that I've picked the runt of the litter

    LC is like DDR550 2.5-4-4-8
    I had that experience run it like DDR575 2.5-4-3-6 on Neo2 fx55
BUT, be sure you got good power and good neo2.

I always make the wrong choice, I was hoping to have got into the 280s with 2.5-3-3-7. I have a PCP&C510 so I have a good power source. It's typical that the store would have LE and LA available after I order.

What is the best voltage for getting high clocks with LC anyway?

It depends, I would say if you wanna run 280 for sure, I would give around 2.8 but I am not sure ! Some of my friends they show me like 2,7 for doing DDR570 passing memtest std mode for 3 hours
    You gotta try!
PM me after you got the ram and question stuff.

    Only pc4800 1 GBLA and 1GBLB

I have a set of PC4800 1GBLA and the shop I ordered from told me they were supposed to do ddr600 @ 1T

    Dear Kristos:

There is some misunderstanding here !
    LE means DDR550 2.5-3-3-7
There is no LE with PC4800

    LA 1gb only good for 2t DDR600

But I tell you what, my experience on NF4, I can easily do DDR600 "1t" with LE 1g kit
If you have futher question need help, please PM me, I am more than happy to help you!

Those are great results OPB! I've got 2x256 LE and I can't get over 250 2.5-3-3-7 on my Neo2 + FX-55 combo... which is strange cause I can hit 300 2.5-4-4-8 with them What am I doing wrong!?!?

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=48634 Check that thread out. from looking at that I would be inclined to say that speed is greater than latency when it comes to gaming. The latency frequently only seems to have a marginal effect, which when benching or something might be make or break, but for regular everyday usage would be almost un-noticable. I dont know if he has done the frequency comparo at different timings yet (seems it hasn't been bumped in a while), but from my experience (but no set in stone test #'s) mem frequency seems to have a nice bump in performance. I guess I'm saying that, while I dont know 100% for sure, frequency would be my guess but wait on one of these guys that does know before going one way or the other.
