I am in communication with several ram manufacturers. A couple want to send new revisions of their rams. I have G.Skill 2x256mb LA modules, but I can't push them yet b/c of mobo/cpu issues.

I am getting a DFI NF4 as soon as I can buy one. We are not yet offered many boards for review purposes as of yet, so I have to wait for the DFI to go on sale. Once this happens I can push the LA. Personally, I think the G.Skill, Geil, and Corsair will go a few MHz higher. I tried my best to get components that didn't limit the ram, but between 3 MSI boards(one died) and 2 FX55's I can't spend more $$$$$.

Thanks for all the feedback, lmk about any other requests or questions!

no not saying it won't work, but getting over 280-300MHz might not work well. There are many variables that need to be factored in when pushing ram really high, not just the modules themselves. That is my experience anyway.

I'll give them a go in one of my modded boards and see what happens

I was impressed with the article, but it raised a question I'd like to see an answer for.

Would you be able to show screenshots of Code Reds A64 Tweaker for both the Gskill LE and the Corsair when they are both at the same speeds? I'd like to see what difference accounts for Corsairs small advantage in the tests and benches at like for like speed and timings.

Thought I'd ask here as my question at Madshrimps went unanswered.

Yes most excellent review I am very impressed with the Geil Ultra X it seemed to be quite an underdog in most cases but held its own.

I will try to get that in coming day or so. Family stuff over next 24-48hrs will make that difficult prior to that.

    thanks for feedback!

Hm, still confused now - 280 my old f...ing A-DATA DDR-600 was able to do with 2,5-3-3-5 but I burned them and all people say go for G.Skill. Then everybody metioned that LA clocks better than LE and everyone has the opinion 2 x 256 is able to clock higher than 2 x 512.

So I went for the 2 x 256 4800LA - still not here maybe tomorrow, then we will see...........

    What's with OPB's results - didn't he get that extreme CAS 2,5 at 343 on LA ?

yes but he has NF4 boards which seem to clock higher. Don't get me wrong! I wish you the best in your ventures. However, if you cannot get that high, don't blame ram as the CPU or Mobo might be limiting you!
Just some FYI, and again good luck
