Which ram: OCZ 2x512 PC-3200 Gold VX, EL Plat 2, or GSKill PC4400 LE?

    Comes down to this:

    Nforce 4-SLI mobo, AMD 64 3200+...

For the best results, what would work best:

All sets are dual channel 2x512

    GSKill PC4400 LE... most expensive.

OCZ EL PC3200 Platinum Revision 2... few bucks less.

OCZ PC3200 Gold VX... few more bucks less.

They all spec about the same really, but, any ideas? I imagine most will say the GSkill, but is it really worth it?

    Thanks!

if your not overclocking to the ultimate extremes then ocz vx or plat serve ur purpose very well . for vx to run tight timings ull need a lot of vdimm . Plat will not need such high voltages but will clock higher at looser timings . Gskill and plat. are ultimately the same memory chips .

As bourne said, the ocz vx is great, except when it comes down to it, it's not enough of an oc for most of us 260x10 = 2.6ghz ...eh
The 4400LE will oc moderately higher than the Rev2 in most cases
But if theres a big price difference(dont know how much as i cant find gskill in cnaada) i would go with the rev2, nothing but good things to say about them

if u where 2 get the VX u would have 2 get a ddr booster and that wiould add to the total cost so that would make it more expensive option than the gskill 4400 ram.. personally i would recommend the 4400 LE ram as it doesnt need more vdimm 2 run at high fsb's and runs at 275 2.5-3-3-7 1T stock

    good luck...

He would not have to get a booster, if he gets the DFI, which has VDIMM up to 4V.

    I also need to decide.

I am between them LE`s and them rev2.

They like to me them LE`s since they got off price in neweeg but now a friend is Offering a few ocz rev2 in 260 U$ and which not to choose.

In this review they show the OCZ a bit better than the LE's, but they all them rev2 do it?

It all comes down too how far you wanna go.

If you see yourself striving for 275+ then the LE's are the way to go because they guarantee you 275@2.5-3-3-7.

The OCZ on the other hand will probably give you that same oc (they are the same TCCD) but it's not guaranteed.

LE's also guarantee you 200@2-2-2-5 which is like buy the rev2.

Who needs an expensive DDR Booster, when an overpriced $1.50 Potentiometer, and a soldering iron are all that you need for more VDIMM voltage?

The 3700 Platinums is a great set of TCCD as well. I just got the Epox 9NDA3+ in the mail. 280 1:1 into the second hour of Prime so it looks promising. Haven't tested better timings yet though, but i'll get to that later. 2.7 vdimm, not sure if it's needed though. 1T.

personally i would go with the LE cos if you upgrade you CPU you will still be able to run 1:1 with the CPU with that ram

The difference in price is the following one for my...

    G.Skill pc400 512 x 2 = 300 U$

    OCZ Plt. rev2 512 x 2 = 260 U$

These they are the prices with sending included up to my house.

    My question is:

Really justifies to become exhausted this 40 U$ additional on having entrusted the LE's?

    Thank you again
