What hard disk and PSU are you using?
-
-
Technologically Challenged
load the sata drivers to a floppy and hit f6 at the beginning of windows and install the drivers, otherwise windows wont see the harddrive
-
doesnt' matter we tried it with a 10gb IDE and tried my PSU and ended up frying it.....

Did it recognize the HDD in bios?
Try to run memtest86 off a floppy, if it works you have a harddisk problem.

I haven't had a single SATA drive in my life as well as DFI S754 mobo... but maybe this is something similar to what happens on DFI NF2 mobos...
While in BIOS,
go to Standard Cmos Features.
Then hit ENTER on your hard drive,
set the Access Mode to LBA..
Report if that helped...

ok we are going to try that today......
