This is very good news IMO - these boards don't look to be as feature rich as the ASUS/Gigabyte/MSI (no Dual 1Gb/s, 8x SATA etc.) but uGuru is hard to beat . . .
Thanks for the update. Keep up the good work! I had found 3 of the 4 motherboards for sale on ComputerHQ.com but hadn't found their product pages yet. Nice find.

Man, Abit NF4. I am wondering if there was a reason behind making 4 NF4 boards, when the Ax8 hasn't even had 1 review yet. Maybe the AX8 might be crap and they are trying to compensate for it? This could be one of the reasons Abit is in financial trouble. Isn't it funny a company would make all these different 939 boards if they are having trouble paying the bills?

I called them, this is the real deal, they have their real-time stock locked down so that none of their boards go to other distributors?

Irregardless, they do have them in stock, full retail, at that price - ground shipping is only ~6.50 so ACT NOW if you're interested.

I'm still waiting on those 2 boards from United Micro. abit AX8 and msi rs480 M2. 1st they said they were in stock, then I called yesterday and they said they couldn't ship them because the warehouse was closed, Then I call today and they said they aren't in stock. Then they call me 6 hrs later and tell me they are going to charge my card. I asked them if they had it in stock, they put me on hold for 10 minutes, come back to the phone and tell me they won't have the boards until next week. I tell them to call me when they get the boards and that they are not to charge my card until the boards ship. Something is very fishy...

is the abit fatal1ty an8 going to be able to compete with the DFI, it's supposed to have that special bios that gives tons of extra options, but i doubt it'll come close to the DFI board.

So, you still aren't getting your boards until next week? If so, I'll take them off the in stock list.

Not sure if any of the rest of you got this email -

http://www.mattoverclocked.com/DFI L...nformation.htm

It basically says we should expect the DFI NF4 boards by the end of January.

I just spoke to Steven at Abit USA. He sys the AX8 is pushed back to February or even March. He couldn't tell me what was holding it up. But did say he will probably get some samples in one or 2 weeks. Then I can get started with this review. By that time, everyone and their mom will have the DFI board. We'll see though. Not everyone has $300 to blow on a motherboard, so this will be interesting. I like the layout of the AX8, but Abit has been losing the enthusiast market lately, although pc-ice did really well on one recently, we'll just have to wait and see.

I'd like to see the DFI compete against the Abit AN8 Fatal1ty. This time its DFI which has the time and "no 5 irratating OTES fans" advantage
In short, both AMD and NVIDIA discovered that their next-generation graphics cards are superior to each others' last-generation graphics cards.
