Hi, I'm new to the board.
Does one stick of memory perform beter then 2 sticks?
No, no dual-channelOriginally Posted by agent #2

Cracked 30k in 2k1 w/ dothan - not too difficult obviously. and this ain't very well set up OS. My original Dothan OS w/ dfi mobo was hitting a bit higher scores clock to clock if I remember correctly. Need to reinstall WinXP and see if it helps.

Here you can see a compare between that run, and my P4C @ FSB238 (4046Mhz) 1:1 2-2-2-5-64us, at very similar card clocks.
Darn i want a dothan.
Got a nice round number this time

The Dorthan's just a bit over 3000 points behind your Winchester @ almost the same clocks speeds on CPU and GPU. It's damn nice work though! You're just the man to keep our hopes in Dorthan alive!
It would be kinda cool to see an FX55 @ 141x19, single channel and XT@636/639

Hi,
i am stuck with my AOpen i855 at 137 MHz FSB.
Has anybody some detailed pictures about a Chipset Voltage Mod for the AOpen Board?
Actually I only find mods for the DFI one,

How high can the booster get on the AOpen board?
up the agp/pci speed.Originally Posted by BitpowerPM

for more mods, maybe someone else can help you out or PM kyosen/k-ohashi
*edit bis* uploading doesn't work when editing I'll make new post then...

Its a very nice score for those card clocks. Winchester at 2.52G w/ card @660/620 hit only 14988.
Yeah i got the new BIOS Version 1.05 and now i can push up the FSB upto 164 MHz at a multiplier of 16x.
I Think my Pentium M 745 1,8 GHz stuck at ca. 2470 MHz without V-Core Mod.
But 31 sec SuperPi is really nice for beginning.
System: AOPen i855...
Dothan 1,8
512 MB TwinMOS TwiSTER PC3200 pro 2-2-2-5 FSB:RAM ratio (164 MHz FSB) 3:4

Maybe V-Core is coming next week.

Can you say OUCH
Tip: dont try to install XP120 on top of Dothan chip
Chip is alive and kicking. Not the best clocker thou - maxes at around 2.7GHz aircooled. Seems that the 'made in Philippines' dothans dont really like higher volts at all. The Malay chips seem to respond loads better.
So far the 1.7G chip has given the highest CPU speed for me (2760MHz aircooled). 1.5G would have gone even higher but mobo limits it.
Well....same story as always with the Intel cpus in the past ...Philippine ones tend to not respond to higher voltage and OC like pure crap.Originally Posted by macci
Good to hear that the 2.1ghz is stille alive...would have been a real PITA to kill that one.
I´m eager to get my gear going...got my cpu next me and my mobo is at the postoffice...just waitning to get picked up.
Only sad thing is..I just checked my cpu and it´s a Philippine
Just have to hope for the best.

Macci, Yeah I think the 1.7 is the best deal, mine runs 2701(160fsb) max, at 1.59v. I have a 2.0 coming Monday or Tuesday.....
Fortunately I got both cheap, $209 for 735 and $215 for 755.
So after reflection, how do you compare DFI to Aopen?

where on earth would you get a 755 for $215 but ebay? insane!Originally Posted by charlie
maybe the aopen is the better choice. iirc the pci/agp lock is working. so that should take care of the problems with the high fsb having vidcards crap out.
oh and was that 2.7g on air or already some di goodness?

yes. I saw the 'VPU Recorvery' thing way too often w/ DFI. Should be stable up to around 133FSB right? Is anyone having issues with the DFI board and x800xt pe driver crashes?
With AOpen I haven't seen anything like that yet.
