    Any explination for this?

So I got my rig game stable at whats in my sig today and went off skating for 5 hours, got back, started surfing the internet for like 10 minuts, and I lose video and audio. Restart and it shuts down. Than I got water all over checking for condensation on the GPU TEC. Didnt see any so I cleaned my spill up, pluged the card back in, reset CMOS, and now I'm running fine. What would cause that to randomly happen after running for 10 hours 100% stable?

Nice clocks on your 9600XT...Though your memory clocks seem a little low on WC ??

ROFL...Watch closely Ladies and Gentlemen as Trans Am solves all of Afireinside's issues just by finding out which sport he was playing while his computer was getting busted at home !!!

No offence, but its a good thing you didnt start naming roler, ice or skateboarding locations to confirm exactly where he was LOL

    Black PCB yeah.
Rollerblading. All other forms of "skating" are inferior

My computer was fine till I got home and started using it... Its still fine now. No clue wtf happened earlier.

well, if he was rollerblading, I'm guessing it was a loose tube on the gpu/tec block. If it was skateboarding, it was a leak from the res. and if it was ice skating then it's a condesation problem. If it was rollerskating then most likely a small tear in your tubing. If I were you, I would stop rollerblading and just SURF for now on.

we'll unless you spilled beer all over it while you were surfing, and you saw no condensation from the tec, then I'm pretty certain one of your fittings is loose from rollerblading. Did you smell the liquid? did it smell like malted hops? Do you own any pets? There must be some explaination?

I froze up a few times this morning so I took it off and found some water. Lucky I still have the stock heatsink so I'm running that untill I can get a neoprene kit from dangerden. Using armaflex tape stuff and some of the neoprene from my 9500pro wasent a good idea :P I wanted to get a stock AMD sink on there but theres a bunch of crap in the way and the base is to thick to dremel

Yep, I was thinking condenation/water damage as well.

You could remove the shim from your card, rather than using the dremel on the heatsink... although doing that is a pain as well.

You should be doing a LOT better on air with some good ambient temps, have you tested how much more your scores/clocks are without WC ??

also think it was condensation wich caused instability...

idle= cooler temps=condensation built up, when you cam back and wanted to use it it probably gave you a short circuit somehwere and the rig crashed.

make sure the insulation is ok

    and perkam ... *sigh*
EVERYBODY knows that rollerblading is more likely to cause condensation on your skin than any other form of skating
