How big is the chance to damage sth. ?

What do you think how big is the chance to kill sth bei ocĀ“ing it whether itĀ“s ram, cpu, gpu or anything else ??
Im mostly interessted in ocing without vmodĀ“s. Is there even the physical chance to damage sth?

    sth?

Overclocking without Vmods is practically harmless. I can set my FX-53 to something insane like 3 Ghz in the BIOS, and it simply won't boot. Just reset the CMOS on the motherboard and you're fine.

I've also set my video card up so high that the screen freezes and I can't do anything. All you do is reboot and it's back to normal.

Without playing with voltages, it's almost impossible to actually damage anything.

but with voltages.....you can actually weld your CPU and Motherboard together under the heat! THATS NOT GOOD!

but as long as your cuious, careful and slow...you should be fine!

On the other hand, I ran a geforce 2mx400 for 1.5 years on 2.2v overclocked and its still going strong.
