How does this bios perform compared to the older ones?
I have the P4C800-E, but spotted a beta bios on ASUS' site, dated 10/14/04. Still using bios 1014 now.

    good I must say.
always used the 1016 for over a year.
no performance loss, PAT enabled, 2.65vdimm, vcore is more stable then before, same results with Sisoft, benchmarks,..... (not noticeable).
had some A64 setups, only I can't bare it to sell this setup, bought it in May last year.
still going strong with my same old PIV3.0C (my best was 2 months with one setup :p).

I am doing dual channel 267fsb 2.5-3-3-8 2.75v p4c800d pcb 1.02. Ther are ADATA566 512mb new red pcb a pair of TCCD 434 & other pair of TCCD 431, all memtest extend test stable. Using both bios 1017 & 1019.01 didn't experience any problem.

Maybe TCCD's are suck at CL3 with i875p at high fsb, they don't like CL3, all get errors in memtest#5.

    I tested with both ASUS P4C800D & Epox 4PCA3+, using 8 sticks 512mb TCCD one at a time, all CL3-4-4-8 DDR566 got errors in memtest#5 or #8.

But they love CL2.5-4-4-8 , so is 875p don't like CL3 at high fsb ?

I just finished testing my 1GB kit of GSkill PC4400 2.5-3-3-7 with the 808 PCB. I'm using a P4C800-E Deluxe rev.2 with the 1017 BIOS. The 2.4c is cooled by the a lapped stock Intel heatsink in a 19c ambient room. I know its not cpu limited because I was running SuperPi 1M's at 300MHz 5:4 with OCZ PC4400.

275MHz is a no-go at 2.5-3-3-7, but runs stable enough for a Sandra mem bench and Photoshop editing at 2.5-4-3-7. Vdimm is 2.75v...2.85v did not help.

Setting the timings to 3-4-4-8 only gained about 5MHz. I really hope a BIOS update corrects this problem.

BTW - Why are the cpu-z checksums different?

I don't know it is a bios problem or else. But I would think the difference btw 1017 & 1019 will be the CPU lock free function.

I can go 275fsb cl2.5-3-3-8 but not stable to complete benchmarks
We might need high quality i875p or better cooling for the north bridge running 1:1 at such timing. Remember that 1/2 of your Vdimm will be the VTT of the north bridge. So higher voltage will heat up more the nb too. For my CPU, it shouldn't be a problem cause mine's 2.4c were tested prime95 48hrs ok at 3.4g default voltage

Is there anyone water cool the nb or with a new bios, and get better result ?

Its definitely not NB cooling...its just the weird reaction TCCD has with the 875P chipset. I'm pretty fed up with this setup...itchin' for an A64.

Unfortunately, my abit Av8 didn't good enough to do 275fsb cl2.5-3-3-8 due to acp/pci lock problem. I can't test the limit & quality of my tccds.
    Waiting for nforce4.....

    Just 271fsb on i875....

Yeah me too, best I can get with my PQI TCCD stable is 275MHz with 2.5-4-3-7 timings. It looks like the TCCD chips run quite a bit better on a AMD setup. Now I'm itchin for a 3200+ s939 + MSI Neo2 Plat.
