How did you get your hands on R14? I thought it was banned in the US a couple of years ago? But if you are a HVAC/R tech you have those special contacts?

    Btw, what refrigerant replaced R14?

R14 is a florocarbon and is not being phased out.

I was wondering, is it possible to make a special block to use a cascade on RAM? Has anyone done this?

    Small update

I had to make some brackets for the Silencer housing. The ones he made were for A64 and socket 478. I made a few while I was at it.

Finished insulation. looking really good and a perfect fit.

My original CPU cascade ran for 5 days straight at Comdex in the Abit booth.

Gonna go eat and then come back to connect the video card.

This cascade is not for long term operation yet. I will know more when I see how well this housing contains -120c

I am already covering a 4"x4" area around the CPU, 1/2" below and 3/4" above.

The cold will very likely travel under the neopreen thourgh the PCB. A simpel low power heating device will hold from the other components.

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=heating+wire

In that thread, heating wire is discussed

I am running 1/2" think neoprene and a 3/4" particle board behind the motherboard. the motherboard is bolted down. The studs are bolted into the particleboard.

The only place I expect to see condensation is on the exposed white PVC shroud.

The neoprene is more then sufficient, but the PCB gets cold. We had problems with dry-ice. The PCB got gold even next to the memmory slots. This could also be the cold gas that is falling over the container so i'm not sure about that one.

CPUz is not reading multiple correctly, it is at 319Mhz on the 5.7Ghz screen shot.
