    ok, i flashed it - 1.36b

    but my gskill won't make 275mhz @ 2.5-3-3-7-1T @ DualChannel memtest-stable

maybe someone of you (maybe onepagebook) has a idea, what to do....

    my config:

    3200+ winchester (non-oc'ed)
    K8N Neo2 with 1.36b-bios
using DIMM#1 and #2 (the nearest to the CPU-Socket) - so running DC
    bios-config 1
    bios-config 2

    anyone a idea?

btw it doesn't matter, if i set VDIMM to 2,6V or 2,85V or something between.....with 2,75V i get the most less errors....

    i just test with test#5 @ memtest....

    Simple math. stock fx-53: 2400MHz (200*12)
    For mem do: 250*9.5

Try to stay away from the .5 multipliers tho

    Use clockgen "http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php"

Change multiplier to 9.5-> Click apply FID

Click get values, then go to FSB Selection, move button to 250

    Click Set values

This is still ongoing but I tested this last night and disagree with the findings.

Note that this article shows the integer multiples for memory divider in the first few graphcs with sandra but then goes on to Everest and other software showing that when a half multipler is selected in clockgen or similar what actually happens is that the motherboard selects the next whole multipler down and bumps up the FSB speed.

Hence 12.5x200 would actually be 12x208. If you run MSI own Core Cell it also reports this so you can try this at home if you wish.

However I did some tests with Samdra and pifast last night and setting to 12.5x200 did a pifast time 1 second less than when I subsequently run it at the proper 208x12. Hence my conclusion that some software is reporting the speeds wrong.

    What Mem?

Hi guys (and ladies...) I'm brand new to this site. Very nce. Quick question before I hit the control panel and customize stuff: Decided on the Neo 2 as my next upgrade some time ago along with the 3500+. Since reading through here last night have decided to try to find the Winchester CPU. At present NewEgg only carries the 3000+ and 3200+. With mem, have been reading how PC3200 XBL Patriots are good chips as they can be overclocked more. Brings me to my question: Why not just go with these?

edit: Oh, and do the Winchesters come in retail versions? I'd like a 3 year warratny.

I noticed alot of people set the AGP freq. to 67mhz, what is the point of this??? Does it have to do with locking or something?? Mine is at 66mhz default, should i set it at 67mhz?? please comment.

yes, setting it to 67Mhz will lock the pci/agp bus.

Just getting some time to play with my 3500+ 90nM/Neo2/TCCD combo....

I'm pretty impressed with the overall headroom of the CPU, but the DDR, PMI Turbo PC3200 2 x 256mB, which was hitting 310HTT on 754, single channel is having probs above 250.....dual channel

I will study a bit more for BIOS settings and such...
    Here's the rig:

    3500+ 90nM
    K8N Neo2 1.3b6 BIOS
    2 x 256mB PMI PC3200 Turbo TCCD
    OCZ Powerstream 520W
    CoolerMaster HYPER 6 w/ Tornado
    Sapphire 9600XT

    Guys have comments/suggestions??
Should I try out the BH-5 with the OCZ DDR Booster?

good to know. Just bought this board and a 3000+ so I could use my sweet BH5. Now I just have to worry about hotflashing the bios.

Any hints to get PCI/AGP lock to work on this board?

Have tried following tricks, without any success:

    Set AGP to 67MHz - 72MHz
    Boot with 201FSB - 210FSB
    1t -> 2t
    Disabled Spread Spectrum
Moved the hd to SATA ports 3 & 4 (disabled 1 & 2 in bios)
    Tried multiple bioses (1.20 - 1.37)...

And still cant pass 250FSB, even when running with lower dividers or after enabling 2t timing

IĀ“ve tested Mushkin BLVL2 PC3500 256MB (DS) sticks and HyperX 3200 256MB (SS) sticks, and both sets have been driven over 270FSB 2-2-2-5-7-11-1T on Gigabyte K8NSNXP-939 and with many other platforms.

I have even tried to use old GF2 card because it can run with higher AGP frequenzy. So maybe the WD 200GB SATA HD craps out?

Having the same problems, I'm using tccd with it so i can tell you its not BH's fault. Anything over 250 and i get errors.

I am doing 265x9 OK for Sandra and pifast, though I seem to be having issues with dragothic at present which I think is the video card but at an outside bet it could be memory related.

I use Crucial Ballistix at about 3.1v. In my 754 board one stick would do 280 the other 275 or so.

    Ahh, problem solved

Trfc SHOULD NOT be touched by A64 Tweaker. Otherwise your memory simply wont work like they should. I think its a bios bug, since the value wont change at all even if you ajust it with A64Twkr.

This board really rocks. Just ran SuperPI at 278MHz 2-2-2-5-7-1t / 3.58V with my old faithful KHX3200 sticks, and they are single sided btw. With GB K8NSNXP-939 they couldnĀ“t run even at 200FSB if 2t was disabled.

    Sandra Bandwidth
    270FSB 2-2-2-5-7-1t

    Great success

    hmmm Trfc via A64Tweaker + 2xKHX3200/256 + Neo2 + 1.36 BIOS + FX53 works for me

EDIT: the BIOS doesnt affet what A64 Tweaker reads for Trfc. It reads directly from the memory controller registers

I'm having the same issue with ram. I basically have 4 sticks of bh-5 on hand. 2 corsair, dbl sided, 3200LLPT v1.1 and 2 kingston hyperx 3200, single side, and i can't break 230 without crashing out of windows upon boot. I've max'd out my ram volts on the board and i am using 1.30 final version of the bios. Should i flash to 1.3b6? I've tried everything i can think of as far as the ram settings go from leaving them to auto to manually setting them and still the same issue. I have a 3200+ 90nm winchester and i can do 2.6 into windows on air and 2.8 boot so i know it's not the chip that's holding me back at this point. I was going to do the vdimm mod to get me 3.3v for the ram and see if that would help but i'm not sure that would even benefit me at all. I don't have a booster so is there anyway i can get more than 3.3v to the ram with a mod? Also, where is everyone getting the 1.3b6 bios i can't find it anywhere atm. Let me know if i should be doing something else cause i'm at a loss right now Thanks in advance.

    Edit:
This is my very fist A64 board as i've been intel for a while and haven't upgraded in ages. I'm a little confused about the cpu vid setting and what exactly htt is. Can someone explain that or have a link to an article i can read up on it.
