thx tictac. also, can u see if u can fish out the bank interleave (enable (4way, 2way)/disable) registers for me also?
thx so much

here with 237fsb, I can run it in 240fsb too but sometimes the dragontest doesn't want to start then. Some error msg. All other tests work.

if i get this new bios (the l12 one) will i need to reformat, and where do i get it from?
(i get confused really)
wont need to reformat unless you are running a RAID array and the bios has a different SATA bios in it than you are running now... and thats a maybe, too.
Heres a bunch, there are more if you search "nF7* bios" or "mantaray*, 3dfire*, speedfire*, etc...

i recommend D26 Manta Ray XT.. it has l12 built in
AMD XP-M 2400+ 35w @ 2552MHz 11x232 @ 1.9v on ABIT NF7 V2.0 - D26 Manta Ray XT by Tictac
2x 512mb DC - Corsair BH6 @ 2-2-2-11 232FSB @ 3.3v
Radeon 9500 Softmodded to 9700 @ 395/300
Enermax EG465P-VE PSU
Thermalright SI-97 HSF
i should post this 1 here
TwinMOS Speed Premium (Winbond 44D)
2 x 256MB
240MHz 2-2-2-11 1T (dual channel)
2.93V Vdimm
and D26 Mantarays XT... seems D26 Mantarays XT working really well with latest winbond BH4
Lucky you
awsome, thanks, so i'll try the D26 manta ray XT, but which do i need? command per clock enabled or disabled? and what does this mean?
think i might try with the wires in as well :S have heard from people that it's best to be safe and have both! this l12 thing seems to vary from pc to pc, people have shown soooooo many different options! is confusing
new board, last one went pop, cpu does 2550mhz 1.9v and rams ocz3500eb, sitting here at 220*11.5 but want more, not modded apart from this bios( XT ), i've modded one before, vdimm mod, but am a bit worried about doing it, hands nto steady, soldering iron is a bit poo.
i think more VDD is required, 1.7 right now, but how much 'penciling' is required to raise VDD a bit? 1.85 maybe? got every pencil ever made i think lol, 2B HB 3B etc...
just need some guidance.
cheers

AcEmAsTr : use a DMM and check original resistance on the resistor. With every drop of 30omhs the voltage increases by 0,1V i think. I got 2,1V once, was a bit frightened. :P

how i gonna check that? it is not available in biosOriginally Posted by pershoot
Anyway here is your Super By Pass & Data Scavenged register
Here is the data base i marked it with yellow lineCode:1) Data Scavenged = 0:0:1 offset F8 Fast = 09 Normal = 0D 2) Super By Pass = 0:0:1 offset FC Enable = 01 Disable = 00
what does command per clock enabled and command per clock disabled mean?
which do i need?
tictac - is there a way to seperate the TRCD-r and TRCD-w values in the nF7(-s) bioses like the Lanparty and Infinity so they can be set in the bios rather than through nF2tweaker? Or opening up CAS 1.5 too maybe?
probably not easily, but figured i'd ask.

thx tictac.
data scavenged rate setting to normal (default is fast) results in immediate lockups when load is presented.
super bypass is selectable without any lockups.
back in the via days, u could enable bank interleave with registers through windows, since bios didnt have the option. thought it could be done on nf2 through registers.
on dfi boards, i have read that it may be disabled?? which would explain the super high fsb potential, and pitted clock for clock with the nf7, the nf7 is a bit faster??
please correct me if anyone out there knows definitively..
thx again tictac

Stevil... i'm not capable adding / spliting new option in bios
right, i fitted my new 2500 m, and wsan't to impressed, couldn't more than 2.4 out of it, so i put on the D26 bios, and now everytime i try and boot, it does up with boot disk error, so i thought i might as well do a re-install of windows, but when i tried to install the S-ATA driver, it wouldn't recognize i was pressing F6, so now i'm stuck and don't no what to do
can anyone help please?
thanks
right, managed to get the s - ata drivers installed
but now, after it's done the initial install on teh blue screen, and it's re-booted, it goes back intothe setup menu again, have check in bios, and set all boot up devices to HDD to make sure, and it still does it :S
grrrrr
any help?
thanks
reflash the bios again :P
OMG, i was emailing and suddenly my pc freezed and now it won't boot. byebye nf7 Its so weird. All the other parts seem ok somehow o_0. Might this be some form of bios corruption. I was using the d26 manta rays xt.
i can't get into windows to do it!
everytime i boot, it says boot disk error, and can't get any farther!
am on a different pc at the moment!
thanks
use the other pc to flash as long as its got the same bios type socket.

I just got 2x512 Corsair XMS 3200 BH6 sticks. Will this work well with D26 Mantarays XT CPC ON on the NF7S-v2? I used to have 2x256 CH5 + 1x512 BH6 and that did not work well with CPC ON. Right now I am using CPC OFF, but I want cpc on...it's sweet. I am getting the OCZ DDR Booster soon to crank up the voltage a little. 2.9 won't get me far enough Just wondering if I should flash to CPC ON again...I guess it's just a matter of testing it out.

Doh...It won't run prime95 with CPC ON. Are there any tweaks that can make it work or is it just hopeless with 2x512mb? Got 830 more points in 3dmark01 with CPC ON than with CPC OFF running at the same speed (12x217). Ram timings: 2-2-3-11.
