Yes, that is correct... The Vddr measure point tracks the "Memory Voltage" as it's set up in the BIOS "Cell Menu" The Vddr measure point also has zero ohms between it and the capacitors positive lead that is shown in your bluish pix above....

Vddr measure point = Vdimm exactly, yet when I connect Vddr or the (+) of that cap to 3.3Vrail, system crashes going into W2K....

Have you connected the (+) of the cap to the 3.3V rail...?

yes, but I tough he isn't trying to connect it into input. I think He's trying to feed 3.3V straight to the output of that fet. But I still having a doubt about it. Why we do have a Fet to control the voltage if Vdimm is directly supllied by 3.3V line? The minor adjustments is done by the voltage controller and core cell.

We should ask CodeRed, he already made it. (+) ist the quadratic leg of
    the under side. imho.

+5V or 3,3V, one of them. Corecell is only Software afaik, no electronic component.

The "Standard 3.3Vdimm Mod" that can be done on any board is to connect the 3.3V rail to the Vdimm. That way the memory sees 3.3V....

Works on every board I have except this K8N Neo2. Crashes going into W2K. Removed, all is fine....

Problem has something to do with the "Core Cell" controlling the voltages I think...

The "Vddr Measure FET" has 3.3V on it input(drain) output(source) is controlled by BIOS adjusting "Memory Voltage"....

Hmm, hope CodeRed will look @ this thread again and will explain something.
He told me that it work fine at his K8N Neo2.

Mod works fine on my NF7, too!

Btw., which Ram and which slots do u use?

"Why we do have a Fet to control the voltage if Vdimm is directly supllied by 3.3V line?"

The FET is there to be able to adjust the "Memory Voltage" from 2.6V to 2.85V. No board maker give you 3.3V for the memory....

"Btw., which Ram and which slots do u use?"

    Running GEIL PC4400 in slots 1 & 2... I can get to 275FSB @ 2.85Vdimm but I want 3.3Vdimm to reach 300FSB....

Mhm, dont think ur Ram really like this high voltages, its Samsung TCCC or
Hynix -5B or something else. They get really unstable by high Vdimm!

NO, GEIL loves 3.3V I run it on several other boards at 3.3V. It's the Ultra Platinum... Not sure of the chip as it's got the heatspreaders on it....

Ur Geil are Hynix D5 , ever i read something bout Hynix D5 they have
said, they dont like high voltage. But i dunno. Lets see tomorrow how my
BH5 will work with it. U messured the Vdimm after Mod on the Mosfet?
Does it show u the correct Volatge?

Yes, shows 3.3V.... Very strange as I run this GEIL at 3.3V on Shuttle AN35/N, Jetway N2PAP-Ultra.....?????

Maybe Neo2 is more sensitive to the problem......

    Thanks for the memory list.....

Most ppl with BH5 and Neo2 says that they wont get high @ 2,85V as at any
other Board before. They mostly maxed out @ 220 MHz. Its really strange
with Neo2. Maybe the "same" Problem with ur Geil.

    Np.

OK, so that is why the "Standard Vdimm 3.3Vrail to Vdimm Mod" is not working for me....

I thought is was strange that it gets as far as booting into W2K before problems. If I had it all wrong, the board wouldn't even POST....

It seems that the Neo2 isnt easy to handle. But maybe someone other have an

I don't know. I'm at the Office and the board is home. It is the (+) end of the capacitor. If you wait 8-10 hours, I will post a picture....

I just ordered OCZ EL 3200 with TCCD chips......

I have some Mushkin bh-5 that I'll test on an unmodded board.... I've had the memory to 240FSB on nF2 boards.... In about 5 hours I'll be at home from the office....
