    Epox 9NPA Vmem voltmod

    I have Epox 9NPA+Ultra mobo. And I have two one-sides 512Mb Hynix D43 modules.
This modules good work at 260 (520) MHz 2.5-3-3-5-1T 3.1v with active cooling.
At 270 (540) MHz SuperPi crash after 10-20 minutes.

For stable on this clock need more voltage (3.2-3.3v?).
    What do this?

Only some D43 sticks gain extra MHz, mainly there is no diffrence between 2.8V and 3.3V on Hynix's rams. 260 is nice for D43, I think you won't get anything from doing Vdimm mod.

BTW: I think Vdimm mod should be similar to the mod on the 9NDA3+.

I see contact dot on PCB. This marked as "vdimm". Connect this dot from 3.3v PSU and look - Vdimm=3.3v!
But my memory cannot work stable at 3.3v.

    I`m use memory at 240 (480) MHz 2.5-3-3-5-1T 3.0v.
    This fate...

I dont think that connecting 3.3 rail to Vdimm is a good idea. Epox boards are supplying Vdimm from +5V rail, which is usually more stable. Just look , if the Vdimm section is the same as one on the 9NDA3 and do the normal mod.

the epox 9npa+ does take the vdimm out of the 3.3 volt line. here it a pic of a simple vdimm mod: Link to a pic.

I did this mod last night with a 250KOhm VR...

I would have used a 100KOhm VR but I didn't have one onhand. The mod works but I haven't tried higher than going from 2.5v to 2.6v. I just wanted to test the mod to make sure it worked.

I'll see how high the Vdimm will go sometime this weekend when I have some free time. But supposedly this board derives it's Vdimm from the 3.3v rail so don't expect much more than 3.3v.

Then you can do the 3,3V sence wire mod or buy an OCZ Powerstream

Did de mod today and it works quitte well. Only on 3,5V it's really unstable. But maybe it's because one wire isn't really soldert very well. Did 3,3V sence wire mod too. Works quitte fine too, 3,7V

@UTFNightmare: What did you do to get 3.5 to 3.7VDIMM?

    Cheers

    Screw the VR up

There is btw some other place to measure. A bit easier to find.

V_Dimm is written next to it
