I'm surprised that review sites never compare top OC to top OC.
For example i would also like to see a max'ed out A64 v.s a maxed out Intel

I can tell you now that they go in the order that you stated them, Barton being the least of the performers, then intel, then a64 for gaming that is...
A64 3200+ @ 2.3ghz
1gb mushkin lvl 2 blk (oh goodness)
ATI R9600XT
Shuttle AN50R
Lian Li PC-75
My Heatware
You can find such comparsion on FM's ORB where you can find maxed out AMD and Intel cpu's.
I'm sorry, i meant maxed out on air.
Intel wins hands down when both taken to the max on air.
Look on the ORB there is ~2k 3Dmarks between them.
System
ASUS Z170-Pro
Skylake i7-6700K @ 4600 Mhz
MSI GTX 1070 Armor OC
32 GB G.Skill Ripjaws V
Samsung 850 EVO (2)
EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2
Corsair Hydro H90
NZXT S340

how about A64's/FX's @ 2.6GHz on air? it's been done, AND further! (2.7)
that would beat an EE @ say 3.6GHz (they put out ~150W )
IMO
weee the amd vs intel battle seems to have spread over the entire forum :\
Eh, but the topic, and the question being asked, was Barton on air maxed, vs Northwood on air maxed....not Clawhammer or whatever vs Gallatin....Originally posted by unrealneo

Here's an air cooled 3.0 @ 3.5 if that helps =]

I really want a whole suite of benches comparing the two.
I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet.
