    Of course celly's suck!

Intel in trouble? Does that mean they'll go from 80% market share to 78%?

Oh the humanity, Intel is done for! lol. J.K.

I think it's related to the missing videocard drivers. Not the cpu.

hmm this seems like the old battle between AMD and Intel just startet again.
Its a bit funny though that someone said that Intel is loosing ground and a fare share of the market. This could´nt be less true. Intel is the big boy around the block and due to their very large advantage in the CPU and almost 90-95% in the OEM marked, they make the most of the "rules" out there. Especielly considering their partners like Dell.
So I believe that they got It all figured out - regardsless of all the overclockers here in XS (with all due respect ofcause )
Actually I think Intel´s OC share covers 1-2% at max in their CPU program. I bet someone would disagree but this is only my speculations.
Anyway the Presscott seems a bit non interesting for the for the overclocker.
But for the OEM marked Intel´s just reach new limit´s in term of cost and producktion .

    My 2 cent

And btw. : no I am not an Intel fan boy

    and Quad -->
    Man those numbers are crasy!!

I read somewhere It's ATI's policy not to realease drivers for Beta OS's (eg. WinXP 64bit). Maybe we should send ATI an email..

Why even talk about PCMark 04', its a ridiculously stupid benchmark.

Score goes up if you disable vsync, thinks a 2.6C is faster than a FX-51, etc etc.

All it honestly does, is measure megahertz, and add ~1700 points.

were just talking of the video encoding bench

QD got a boost from ~60fps to 180 fps in that specific bench simply by moving from winxp to winxp-64

True, but I still dont place any value on PCMark results. They're just not in-line with anything real-world.

Not that I can buy either one, but if I could it certainly wouldn't be an Intel processor! Jacking up the clock speed of a crummy CPU AGAIN and adding worthless instruction sets doesn't cut it...

And since I wouldn't be using Windows, I would just slap the 64bit version of Gentoo on the comp and own all.

gcc 64bit, now that would be something nice...
