Tiger --> We both have problems :/
I cant even run 215*10 @ 1.7V with max VDimm :/ And adding more power to the chipset doesn't help.
Hmm my cpu is 35C idle @ 2100Mhz with an EVO360 with 3x120mm Papst @ 7V ... How the h*** can yours be 28C @ 2200Mhz with a dualradiator ??
! Yonah T2300ES !
Happy,
your radiator have 8mm fittings, and is a singlepass radiator. Mine is a multipass, and i use a Hydor L30 which is equal to a Eheim 1250 pump, and you also cool your vidcard, where i only cool my cpu .
After a sisoft burnin test it is about 31-32 degrees, but not higher.. and that is at 2350mhz.
Flytek->
At 2350mhz i run it at LDT 2, i haven't tried LDT 1 yet.
Tiger,
Give link to your radiator then
Why can't i run 215*10 @ 1.7V ??!!
! Yonah T2300ES !
http://www.dangerden.com/mall/Radiators/heatercore.asp
it is then one at the bottom of the page
Then the other question: Why can't i run 215*10 @ 1.7V Vcore and with max VDimm ?? (LDT 2.5)
! Yonah T2300ES !
too much vdimm can be as bad as too little
Ok, but it's the same thing @ 2.7V and 2.8V - it won't start upOriginally posted by flytek

try running the memory async at ddr333. what memory you got?
I can't even change that ...
And i dont thinkt it helps, becuase now i can't start my computer with the Mushkin ram in it !!
When the are in, it just come with a long bip and one more later, after that the gfx start bipping like hell ...
Hmm ... I still got my Corsair (BH-5 too), so i tried them, and guess what ... it started like normally ...
Damn Mushkin isn't good for a Chaintech mobo

AMD Athlon 64 CG will give better memory performance
Plus more compatibility
ANOTHER Taiwanese mainboard manufacturer, this time Shuttle, has given insight into the next major silicon revision of a forthcoming microprocessor.
A PDF, available for public download at Shuttle's site here, refers to BIOS version FN85S015, for the mainboard within its AMD Athlon 64 based Shuttle SN85G4 Small Form Factor PC.
Right at the top of the supported CPU list for this BIOS is an interesting entry: AMD Athlon 64 3400+ CG…
French, well Canadian, system integrator friends of The INQ tell us that the "CG" revision of Athlon 64 brings greater performance via "2T memory timing enhancements that will enable support of higher density and/or higher frequency memory modules".
Additionally, forthcoming "CG" revisions of the AMD Athlon 64 will not require identically paired DDR DIMM modules for the second and third slots in mainboards with three DIMM slots.
Expect "CG" revisions of Athlon 64 to start rolling from the AMD’s fabrication facilities before the start of Q2 this year.
"CG" variants of the Athlon 64 can be identified under the new CPU ID of 0000F4AH and current Socket 754 mainboards should only require a BIOS microcode update to correctly identify the processor.
We might also mention one detail in our earlier story, "AMD turns heat on Intel with Athlon 64 FX", might be subject to change and that is that AMD Athlon 64 FX for Socket 939 will, as we revealed, not require Registered DDR, but it's possible that Socket 940 parts will. Sorry guys – we do our best!

Anyone with an CG revision ?

Gigabyte K8N (hwb.no) or a Shuttle AN50R (overclockers.se)Originally posted by felgen
hmm, dunno what i shall shop
The Shuttle mobo is best but you must wait a little longer to get it in to Norway.
I have K8N my self and it works great.. hf
A64 3200 @ x - Gigiabyte K8N modded - HyperX PC3000 - Radeon 9800PRO modded - Enermax 350 modded - Vapochill BD35F r404a modded
I've spend like an hour or so just reading throug this A64 sticky thread and some others.. and my founds are that if you wanna get the A64 you should be aware that:
1) Too high Vdimm will probably kill your chip, same thing for high chipset voltage right?
2) The Shuttle or Gigabyte motherboard is the way to go?
3) Avoid XP3000 due to the lack of cache? Grab a Xp3200 instead.
4) What about multi's wich are unloecked
thans for help
1 maybe - maybe not
2 for xtreme overclocking at this time - yes
3 not if price/performance is your goal
4 lower multies can usually be accessed using software. some bios' too
Thx for the helpOriginally posted by flytek

I have BH5 Mushkin mem, will they do allright? I also have a-data PC4000 are thet better?
And once again wich board would you go with?
How about PCI/AGP lock?
Sorry for asking all these questions, but you guys always been helpfull and wise
as for pci/agp lock...Originally posted by Pejsen

NO athlon64 board supports has pci lock
only NF3 has AGP lock
the top 2 athlon64 boards r the gigabyte and the shuttle boards....
take ur pic
almost everyone will say shuttle
if you not going to overclock than i highly suggest a VIA chipset board such as Asus K8V or the Abit K8v-max3

Well now i know what's coming my way
just ordered my second prometeia
Pejsen --> Jamen hej Er du også her ?!
Vi må sgu lige snakke sammen, jeg har lidt probs med mit Chaintech mobo (AMD64) - hvis du gider ??
Which mobo is the best for AMD64 3200+ ?? I've looked on a Albatron K8X800 ProII - would that be better than my Chaintech ??
! Yonah T2300ES !
lol der er mange dansker herinde lige for tiden!
What kind of problems do you have with the chaintech happy? ´cause i just ordered one myself!
My Mushkin dosn't work 100% with that mobo. And the 3rd IDE port is damn weird! When something is connected on that port, it just won't startup ... And the same thing happens with my dads Chaintech.Originally posted by rro

And when i flashed the BIOS it sat Password on it ... Hmm ...
So i have to buy another mobo.
