    P35 LanParty T2R, E6850 and 8800GTX - 600fsb on dry ice

here are some pics of the mobo and some benchies

this mobo is the best looking one ever built in my opinion...

love the way this 'sinks bolts straight to the board

and i mean bolts!...i love this feature...reminds me of what a bencher would do

someone please confirm vcore...i insulated mine before firing it up so cannot confirm it yet

hmmm...bling bling...i'm not using any of this stuff even at 550fsb

my bench partner TraX and I have managed to get our hands on some interesting new hardware as well as completing 'ghetto pot 5 es' for testing
Here are some reults from the last session.

    e6850 - SLA9U / L721A511
    DFI LANParty UT P35
    Crucial Ballistix Tracer pc8500 2x1gb
    8800gtx oem - vgpu & vddr
    Aopen 700w
    Raptor 35gb

cpu cooling - dryice & ghetto pot 5
gpu cooling - dryice & ghetto pot 2

    First some 2D

    superpi 1m - 10.107s

    superpi 32m - 11m12.297s

    hexus pi_fast - 18.95s

    wprime 32m - 18.109

    wprime 1024m - 584.625

    And the 3D

    2001se - 84016

    2003 - 54536

    2005 - 26528

    2006 - 17618

    aquamark - 254000

    --------------

    600fsb

    superpi 1m - 10.516s @ 600fsb

    2001se - 74025 @ 600fsb

    ghetto pot 5 mounted

    insulated & running

ghetto pot 2 ready to go

    both insulated & running

    voltage & temp reads

verdict...so far this appears to be the best mobo i ever owned.
well done to Oskar, Jarry and the rest of the DFI gang

Great job on the ghetto mounting mechanism, gotta love it Nice FSB clocks indeed, i am sure this mobo can do 650+ at 1333FSB strap without major problems, just pour some LN2 on that E6850. It seems that FSB wall has kicked in.

P.S.: Not sure about the AQ3 score, but 2k1 looks fairly bad for clocks that high...

    GJ anyway!

    Great!
This DFI seems to be very good in OC.
I have ordered 1 for the 6th of september.
    Also very very good CPU

All from bios right?(Not clock gen)

Very nice indeed.. sure you have enough multimeters there ?

is that sticky tape over the video card memory chips ?

nachthymnen - yes all bios settings

eva2000 - never enough multimeters man...and yes sticky tape to keep out the air and its water vapour.

600 FSB Good job guys thats an impressive mobo. Im curious though, how much does DI help with the northbridge overclocking? Can it hit 600 on water or aircooled? What vNB?

P965 had coldbug at around 0°C. I've tried SS cooling on P5B-Dlx and also some dryice cooling before that. I am assuming that P35 has CB around zero aswell. Too bad, i975X was always grateful when running @ ~ -60°C

The board arrived & went straight onto phase, so no idea yet on max on air / water. vNB was around 1.55v for 600mhz+ and our e6850 manages 555mhz on air on a dfi 965 -s.

Sorry tiborrr I dont completely understand the comment? Our DFI P965 -s managed to run below 0°C as did the dfi P35. No direct sub-zero cooling was applied to the northbridge in either instance, but both where held in an enclosure at -13°C ambient.

We are very happy with this chip
    vCore was 1.76v

Achill3us, flytek is having connectivity issues at the moment & not able to get online. You can PM me & I will relay to him directly, or if you prefer wait for him to sort it out

Once again thanks for all the positive comments

I am saying that i've experienced chipset cold bug on P965 and i am assuming that P35 is pretty much the same story.

Indeed, the board worked while being cooled at e.g. -35°C (SS 7ccm Embraco R404a, Chilly1 clone cooling head), but it clocked notably worse on 1066MHz FSB strap than when aircooled (510MHz aircooled with Zalman NB47 & 1.95Vnb vs. 470MHz SS cooled with the same or higher voltage).

Coldbug - it doesn't necasserly mean the HW won't work, it can also mean that it will clock worse than ambient cooled.

    Nice board and CPU.

Haha that's what I call "motherboard posing", that's not everyday you see some1 put the mobo on such "natural" surface. Sure melts into the environment and looks great.

just curios as to what memory timings were...most importantly performance level for the 32M run @ 545*9. happen to have a Memset of that run? the reason i am curious is because the time is astonishingly bad...P5B-Dlx 1333 strap bad. were you just testing stability? the 1M run looks good for 5GHz but we all know that 1M is about horsepower sort of speak.
i don't quote in my signature, but best WR ever...

Nice work and nice results, flytek-san.

I have tested "SetFSB for P35-T2R".

This is "beta" version and temporary download is here.
And select the Clock Generator "CY28551LFXC".

    Special thanks abo-san.

    Warning!!!
    This is "beta" version.
Use "SetFSB.exe" at your own risk.

tiborrr - we didn't cool the NB with anything serious so we don't know if the chipset is coldbugged.

3oh6 - the board was in default state and booted from bios for every run....so the perfornmance level was at 8...and i'm not sure which fsb it switches from 7 to 8 iether. (subtimings were also at default except maybe trfc)
also absolutely no tweaks were used for 2D or 3D...and the OS has been booted using the F8 on first boot method for several different boards from 975, 965 and a couple of P35 boards too...no chipset drivers installed iether.

NewBeetle-san - thank you...i like a little windows application for rapid limit finding

Wow, very nice board and nice OC too. I like it but only if it was setup like the Asus Blitz with 8x8x4 PCIE, this is 16x4x1 PCIE. Maybe if they do that I might consider buying it =).
