Is it possible to mount an Infinity or Ninja to replace the stock HSF? Will a larger HSF get in the way because the Dominator fins are too high?

When the P965 and P35 are running at the same FSB, is the P35 northbridge cooler?

In a german forum a guy with a P5K-deluxe WiFi enabled the "CPU voltage damper" option in the BIOS to get ultra-stable vcore. He then had no idle/load vcore difference anymore shown in cpu-z.

Very good news if that is what it does.

Looks like Asus finally implemented the feature

Hi dinos22, the 4:5 ram ratio works fine also at high fsb or have same problem that 965P chipset.

Ok now, take your DMM and find which SMD res. are connected with pin 4 ( the fourth pin from the dot ) [ hmm I need to upload a pic for clearing this one out me thinks ] [ counting the pin next to the dot as pin 1 ]
Penciling a SMD connected to pin 4 will result in higher Vcore ( Vcore mod )
( I marked with blue two SMDs which might be the right ones for Vcore )
I can't find the Vdroop without having the board here

Vcore can be read from the same resistor needed for Vcore mod

Vdimm shall be performed on the 8 pin ( 4 per side ) chip next to the DIMM slots ( outer side ), just let us know which chip is used there.
You can measure Vdimm from pin 7 ( might be a wrong number, I have to double-check ) inside a DIMM slot, or possibly from the choke under the DIMM slots.

i've tried to do some initial Strap testing to determine whether strap changes at the same FSB MHz as P965 chipset

I must say from initial testing it seems as though Asus has resolved the strap issue as i've only seen one change at ~295MHz FSB which is probably 800 > 1066 but i have to test this

    Here are the testing settings

Where i was getting RAM bandwidth info

and results i got so far

Please note that i got a board powerdown at two different FSBs >> 295MHz and you can see the bandwidth drop and at 400MHz however the bandwidth kept raising w00t >> I will need to test this to see whether windows performance reflects this too

any reason why you left PCI-E Spread Spectrum on Auto ?

    Re: Intel chipset driver 8.3.0.1011.
    There's an "intel_inf_8.4.0.1010 beta" available.
    Intel Matrix Raid: "intel_msm_7.5.0.1017beta"
    And JMicron driver "Jmicro_jmb36xx.1.17.17whql" .
    All at: www.station-drivers.com.
Could you post a screenshot of your Windows Device Manager, with these categories expanded:
    IDE/ATAPI Controllers
    SCSI and Raid Controllers
    System Devices
And, did you attempt to enable SATA "AHCI mode", either on JMicron or Intel port?
Note: if updating Intel Inf drivers, running the .EXE installer won't update to the newer drivers.
Must be manually updated for each device.

I confirm that again. No Vdroop with enable "CPU Volt Damper"

    ps: sometimes vdroop = 0.01v
