2900XT 3DMark06 number
http://forums.vr-zone.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=14
Is 3DMark06 score result use a single or dual HD2900XT?
Intel C2D E6300 1.86Ghz L629A244 @ 3.78GHz
Asus P5K-E Wifi/AP Rev.1.02g
Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120+ 2x 120mm
ATI x1900 GT Rev.2 256mb 513/657
G.Skill 2x1gb Hz--540MHz
So the roumors of this card being a flop aren't true?
I take it thats a single card setup?
Anyone know what drivers they were using, because 2000 above an OCed 88GTX is good in my eyes
I think the best advantage that the HD2900XT has is the fact that ATI has connections with Microsoft so it can make better Dx10 drivers than Nvidia. These numbers are pretty sweet indeed but if you buy this card, you probably buy it for it's Dx10 function. So i want to see some hard Dx10 numbers before i'm convinced
I just confirmed no coldbug down to atleast -90C evap (post without problems).

hi kinc is the shim around the gpu higher that that on the x1900 cards i have watercooled gpu only blocks which are the polarflo ones and they have fitted 7900gtx and the pair of x1900s perfectly i had, the shim on the pics on the hd2900 does not look any higher that that on the x1900 can you confirm
thanks
Glen
i find the scores a bit disappointing(but good at the same time), was hoping ATI could have pushed the envelope just a bit further. this is competing with GTX, but not really exceeding it perhaps maybe by a little bit. still its good news with the price of these(after gouging), should force Nvidia to lower theres. now maybe I can start to dream of next gen cards being released at a lower price than last time around..........yeah im sure its just a dream.
edit: Oh and nice clocks there Denny and thanks for sharing. you always get your hands on some good stuff.

Guys with the 2900XT, can you disclose if the gaming figures posted here are similar to your experiences ?

Yes, I can't see the driver used, those results were on AMD system seems they are doing different platforms on different days and today is the X64-6000 I believe.
If they didn't sign an NDA I guess they dont have to wait ??
Stock bench numbers aren't a problem, this forum will show you those
Initial samples of R600 do have Inter-Layer Dielectric (ILD) implemented. (http://www.semiconductorglossary.com...erm=dielectric)
in short, it is a tech that enables transistors to work under xtreme conditions, the con of this technique is that it will increase power consumption a lot~!
however, it is also said that the mass production version by TSMC does not feature this technique. so just wondering how is the overclocking headroom for retail R2900XT as compared to these samples sent to media, lol.
very interesting victor
it will be good to see LN2 on these heheh
