what a ... intel has done perf nubmer is so crazy ~25000 if we translate it to 32M results it would be enough 5ghz for new WR compared to ~5.4ghz (present one) Also I see huge boost in 1m also.

cool this will bring nice things for us in mid 08, early 09 I can see nice DDR3 costing the same as DDR2 today.
    Current Setup:
-9850 GX2's in Quad SLI config
    -Asus P5N32-SLI MB
    -2x512mb of PC2-5300 DDR2
    -Intel Celeron D OC'd to 3.2Ghz
    -Windows Me with XP theme
    -WD Caviar 20GB Hard Drive
    -Zip drive
    -Jazz drive
    -3.5" floppy drive
    -5.25" floppy drive

DDR3 are too slow compared to actual DDR2. Same situation like DDR1 and DDR2 some time ago. I'm waiting for better timmings, CL7-7-7 and DDR1100 are... funny

But motherboard is very good, fsb over 570 is

Nice numbers, but all lot of improvement needed in the future (which will happen for sure)

Anyone notice that memory latency is even worse with the geil's at the higher speed and low latency as compared to the other ones with matching timings? Perhaps it's another asus+intel chipset bug like the p5b has with running trcd different? I guess the results aren't as bad as I'm sure a lot of us had been expecting, but it definitely does leave us with a lot more questions now. At least it's showing potential. If this means we can do 600fsb as the new 400fsb, with also ram at 4:5 750 or 1500 cas6, then it might not be so bad .

I'm assuming the memory latency jump at the 572fsb is poor due to more strap/internal latency adjustment like the p965's over 400. More testing will show!!

Except you aren't being forced to change memory, the P35 supports DDR2 or DDR3 so you can buy whatever suits you and your budget the best.

When Nehalem hits the market in later 2008. Also they will change FSB to CSI (Common Serial Interconnect, similar to AMD´s Hypertransport)

Of course with an IMC you then get that say DDR4 comes out it is a requirement to upgrade, where as here you get the choice.

Nothing to stop them creating an IMC with support for one memory technology, I believe that Barcelona has DDR2 and DDR3 support in one IMC, but if you look at Conroe/Kentsfield there are currently boards available that support DDR, DDR2 and soon DDR3 all with one CPU. You simply don't get that flexibility with an IMC.

Show us, how much faster you can do 32m @3400mhz with your ddr2 memory . You are speaking nonsenses, or you are not common with ddr3 standard and architecture improvements, as producers are roughly speaking cl7 ddr3 would be equal to cl5 ddr2 @same frequency So when you know that, tell us, how far you have to push ddr2 to match ddr3 1430mhz 6-7-6-15 speeds Let me guess, you'll start "DDR2 800mhz club"

BTW: Great pictures and tests Andre 10x for sharing them with the community, waiting 3d numbers

700MHz+ with the very first retailing ICs?!?!
Imagine how far this thing will go... DDR3-2000+ could certainly be reachable once there's a wider selection of chips out there.

You know we don't know that IMC = CB. It's just speculation.
Infact, it's worth noting that prior to D0-stepping A64s there was no coldbug.
You were not supposed to see this.

yeah that's true 130nm AMDs didn't have that problem and even some of the newer ones 90nm were also liking the cold a lot.....i forgot that stepping that S7 had but they predominantly do especially because they are getting smaller and smaller in die size

Those are some great numbers but I think I'll skip first generation ddr3 and chipsets for ddr3.

    dinos looks stressed

It must be 7x otherwise there would be much more attention Also you can calculate latency and see that 715Mhz CL6 is not enough for such mega speed at 6x
