I ran my friends new CPU yesterday... its really sucks.
3600mhz with 1,6V stable
Only 3200mhz with stock volts.
Cpu was week44 B2
Even my 2times cheaper E4300 does better.
3250mhz with stock volts and 1,55V to get 3600mhz
Max on my E4300 is 3900mhz with 1,7V

Do these temps seem right to you?
1.43-1.45V 400x9
32C idle / 65C full load?
do you think its just bad contact or does it seem normal to have it jump that high?
I am using air cooling w/ a scythe infinity.
I've just recently had 2 x 6420s and now a 6600 and none of them will run 3.6 Ghz Orthos stable. These latest chips are a disappointment to say the least. Even water cooled and up to 1.65v - 3.6 is a no go, it's stable and will run super pi but it's not stable enough for orthos.

Wow, this thread is really making my decision about a E6600 or a lower model hard.
I myself have been asking alot of retailers on ebay, most have the F series i believe their was a few that had some of the L7xxC batches. Half of them dont know what the number is, then 1/4 of them dropship them and have no clue. Your best thing is to get on that is know to be a good chip.I hear tank guys going to get some of the older chips like l628b or something along the lines of that. But not sure what the price will be. It will be more then $230 though. Good luck

I would definately go with L629F if you can find one. Mine does 3800 @ 1.46 Loaded. It does run a little warm though 60-66 while priming. Most of the others i've seen do atleast 3800. A few are @ 4ghz. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ighlight=l629f
Gigabyte Z68X UD7
Intel Core i7 2600K (testing)
16GB Mushkin Redline 17000 2133 1.65v

Acer 1200w PSU
2-128GB Samsung SSD RAID 0
2-1TB Seagete 32mb RAID 0
1-1TB Western Digital
1- Plextor PX-B320SA Blue Ray
1- Plextor PX-880SA 24x DVD/RW
2- EVGA Nvidia GTX-480 SLI
LG 30", Hanns G 28"
So definitively, does L70X batch overclocks well?
Ok.
I live in FL
Newegg shipped from TN
ZZF shipped from CA(according to Fedex)
I will have ZZF on Fri and possible Newegg's as well
