    Power supply near CPU...problem?

    Hi

I'm contemplating doing a sort of serious mod (stuffing a water cooled ds3 e6300 in a baby atx case). The layout would have the power supply laying on it's side
    parallel to the mboard.

Imagine the PSU hovering about 2 & 3 inches above the memory and CPU.

Does the power supply emit any ...um aura..( magnetic, radiation, electro feild) that would wreak havoc on my CPU, memory m-board?

    Thanks in advance

    Shouldn't. Ancient cases did this.

    Short answer is: No.

You would need a very very powerful electromagnetic field to have any sort of effect on CPU or RAM components, and a standard PSU just dosn't create anything powerful enough pretty much no matter how close you put it.
