    8800gtx Bios Mod

    Hi guys!
Is there anyway flashing a 8800Ultra BIOS on a 8800GTX?
I cant even load my BIOS with NiBiTor.
    And:
How to clock the shaders seperately?
Has anyone got the Ultra-clock @ his GTX?

flash to this bios on ya 8800gtx you will be very happy

    http://www.benchtec.co.uk/1/8800gtx/ACS3KO.zip

    here is a guide

    How i flash a nvidia 8800gtx
This may not work for every one and there may well be other ways to do this but I have just flashed my gtx in this manner, if I have made any errors in this post please remind me immediately so I can change

Make a boot floppy in windows

1 insert blank floppy in the “A” drive, open my computer right click the “A” drive and select format
2 select: create an MS-Dos start up disk
3 Go and get nvflash from MVKTech
    http://www.mvktech.net/index.php?opt...&filecatid=859
4 unzip nvflash and copy the (files) cwsdpmi.exe and nvFlash.exe to the start up disk you just made
5 now copy the new bios file to be flashed to the start up disk (XXXXX.rom)
Ok you now have the floppy ready to flash your 8800gtx
6 set boot order in mother board bios to boot from the A drive
7 push floppy in drive and reboot when the start-up disk has entered dos
Type at the prompt: dir and hit enter you will now see the contents of the floppy drive that you made in windows
8 make a copy of your 8800gtx bios
Type this and hit enter at the prompt: nvflash -b backup.rom
9 flash the bios to the new xxxx.rom type this at the prompt: nvflash -5 -6 xxxx.rom

Please note xxxx is the name of the new bios file ie ACS3KO.rom or what ever name it has

    Thumbs up

I've flashed my Gtx to Ultra. Modified it with Nibitor 3.4a and then flashed via nvflash -4 -5 -6 NAME.rom

Works great. Before flashing you should know the max values of your card. I am using 621/1566/1009 for the moment. Thinking of removing my IHS for better temps and higher clocking

8800ultra bios works great. With nibitor i changed setting to 639 core/1520 shaders/1020 mem. Stable as ever, and got a new 3dmark06 personal record. With rivatuner i fixed the fan settings at 85%, so the card keeps low in temperature (around 50 celcius idle)

No. Gtx 1,3V vs. Ultra 1,35V

Unfortunately the Ultra Bios does not change the voltage on the Gtx Cards.

Are there other advantages besides the higer clockrates because my GTX can do 650 on core and 1008 mem and 1512 shader core on stock cooling and i get 1k more 3d mark 06 score?
