The NEW Thermalright Bolt-Thru Kit, not good.

I had to pick up a Thermalright Bolt-Thru kit as I forgot to take it off my old board when I RMAed it. When I got it, it was not the same as my old one. It did say THE NEW on the top.

Instead of the old sticky padding, the new one lacks the adheasive, and the padding seems much softer then it was on my old one. Not takeing a second look I installed my TRUE with the new kit and was amazed at my temps, they were insanely high.

I remounted a few times without a change, finally I grabed my room mates TRUE he bought a few months ago for his new build (hes waiting on the Foxconn X48 board), and used that Bolt-Thru bracket (it was not like the new one but the same as the old one, or at least how I remembered it).

    Bingo, back to normal temps!

So a word of warning, at least in my case the NEW Thermalright Bolt-Thru kit is not only NEW, its very very bad at it's job.

I have sent an email to Thermalright about what I have seen and I hope they dump the NEW one and give me back my old one .. as it worked.

I am interested in the differences as well. My Current True 120 is not preforming to well and I wonder if there is not enough center pressure being applied to the core areas.
