    E6420 preliminary Overclocking

Not too shabby if I would so say myself.

    Pack date was 05/18/07

Running on my new DS3R with stock air cooling. Waiting patiently for my back plate to arrive so I can mount my water block.

Voltages are somewhere around 1.45 but with this vdroop, im not sure how low it exactly goes. Can't find a program that works worth a crap and I'm not yet sure where to prod with a Multimeter.

Temps are cookin there. Shortly after I took the pic it had hit 75c. I really need to get that water cooling up and running..

Orthros was running for about six hours before my lights flickered and seized up my computer. In the bios I haven't set the clock speed as permanent yet so while Orthos was running for a few minutes already I adjusted the speed with Easytune.

I suppose its not all too bad for starters. Just can't wait for my plates to come in.

Lookin good. My E6400 only ran 3 hours 55 minutes before it gave the red stopped message in orthos at 400x8 1.45v (3.2ghz). So that being said it could use more voltage, but temps are pretty high too. Highest I saw was like 59C. Hopefully if I get some better cooling and possibly water I wouldn't need so much voltage for the overclock, but we shall see in the future. Good luck!

Well, ten and a half hours later its still going strong at it. Checking Coretemp's logs while I was gone indicated that it was at 78c for about 20 minutes several times and it still didn't fail.

Ohhh.. I can't wait to get that plate. Hopefully it should be here tomorrow!
