    gigabyte ds4 vdrop mod

    Hello, has anyone done such a think?Please sare pictures, i can't find it anywere, it is not the same with ds3/s3, maybe the same with dq6 but no pictures are found!
    PLease help!

    Post high resolution pictures of the socket area and/or tell us what voltage controller is used on that board. I'd guess that it's an Intersil chip. So look for a square chip named ISLxxxx near the CPU socket. Then we'll see.

    I believe the DS3P and DS4 share the same layout, this was the thread about one for the DS3P that has some nice shots. I didn't follow up with measurements as it is pretty tough right now to get around all my water stuff to be poking around with the DMM.

    Even with the quad core the droop is only ~.03 so not too bad anywho.

    I would love vcore measurement points also, but speedfan seems to be close as it took 1.41 to keep my E6420 stable at 3.4 on my P5K, which I had measurement points for and that matched what I needed for the DS3P for same chip measured with speedfan.

    this is the P35 DS4...? Not the 650i SLI-DS4 we get here in the states...
