OK so I'm a bit soft. But I wouldn't be pushing my 5200 past 1.60 even if I could on water letalone air (god damned mobo won't go past about 1.57 despite setting higher)Originally Posted by PallMall

please keep intel out of this, it is an AMD topic about an AMD CPU. I'm tired of seeing every AMD thread with posts 'eehh just get conroe'Originally Posted by Spawne32

Those are nice clocks on that chip. I personally would be scared to run that much voltage through my chip but I guess I'm not Xtreme enough

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz, 16GB DDR3-1600, Radeon 7950 @ 1000/1250, Win 10 Pro x64
Thats impressive, certainly the best AMD overclock that I have seen on air cooling. That is a golden cpu right there.

Radeon 4850//Geforce 7300 Go
Would love to see this on a nice single stage and see what it can really do. Nice chip
i woudlnt say that. its stock at 3ghz, im sure others will go higher. its a new windsor revision, we havnt seen many OC results yet.Originally Posted by funnyperson1
Do you think we will ever see that many results though? It seems that most overclockers have given up on AMD at least until K8L. The 6000+ is not a cheap chip (perhaps $600?). For that price one could build an entire X2 3800+ system, or get an E4300 with mobo, ram, and video card.
Maybe saying it was a golden cpu was a bit overboard, I was simply happy to see an X2 at that speed on air. I had honestly expected the 6000+ to get like a 2-300 mhz oc.

well I still think it is good to have a chip finally breaking the 3 gig barrier for amd in the retail market.
oc % might be not as good as with lower models but these cores are surely the best AMD can deliver at this time. nice clocks, would love to see one on phase
