    Opty 165 LCB9E 0646RPMW

Im getting a Opty next week with this stepping: LCB9E 0646RPMW, and it would be nice to see some results with it. I know viking has 2700 at 1.34VCore.

Anyone wont to share some OC results?

I've only seen couple LCB9Es around the web.

All of them seem to hit the wall on 2.7, on air I presume.
I think they perform like CCBWEs

    I have a LCB9E FX-60 on me...
Don't have the comp with me right now, but when I do,
Imma try to OC it... Hopefully it ain't some hacked up
    Opty rebadged...

From the look of how the AMD is doing these days,
I am concerned that my FX-60 "IS" a rebadged opty

im running that chip at 2.7ghz 1.3 bios volts on an a8n32, so more like 1.32-4ish. runs orthos prime stable for 24 hrs, i even ran orthos at 2.8 for quite a few hours, but like someone said above, i was getting random reboots. still early for testing, heat is my biggest problem, air cooled with a 7700cu, load temps pushing 55c

yea, i wasnt the happiest with it after coming from a 146 that clocked a couple hundred mhz faster, but it will hold me over till next year. i would like to try better cooling, i think if i could keep my load temps down, maybe i could get 2.8 or 2.9. who knows

Im sure youc an get decent clocks out of it but like everythign else it depends on cooling, if are just going to use the retail cooler what kind of things you really expect to get out of it

Haha, this is kinda funny. I have an Fx60 with LCB9E stepping, and it is currently running perfectly at 208 x 14.5 = 3016 mhz. HTT 5x. 1.45v. I have a pretty good aircooling setup...Zalman 9700 on cpu and three 120mm 90+cfm case fans in a large full tower case. My idle temps are 27-30c and a heavy load runs it up to 37 to 40c.

I have tried a bunch of overclocks combinations on this chip, and its true that at some of the most obvious value settings might result in the chip not starting at all, or not being stable, but ive also found a bunch of combos that will get it easily into the 3000+mhz range. Ive had it at 3060 stable, 3125 stable, but once you get to 3250 it gets shakey again. That is too bad if some people cant get more than 2700+ out of one of these chips. It very well could be that some perform better than others, and maybe im just lucky. Just make sure you have sat down with a calculator/spreadsheet/etc, and charted out all your potential FSB:Multiplier:HTT:RAM ratio options that leave you within tolerances, and you might find a few that work out great and a bunch that dont. Thats with any processor though.

Oh and I got this Fx60 for $140. I bought a $399 Fx60 Barebones kit from tigerdirect. I kept the Fx, and sold my old x2 3800+ with the rest of the parts from the barebones kit on ebay for $260. I think this deal may still be running, so if anyone wants a cheap FX, try this.

    My system:

    Fx60 with Zalman CNPS 9700
    2048 Corsair XMS DDR400 2-3-3-6
2x XFX 7600gt in SLI - 6368 in 3dmark06 at stock card clocks
    2x Seagate 7200.10 320g in Raid 0
    550w Ultra power supply
