Here's some firsts results with the commando, first impression : good board, really near from p5b-dlx with a great vddr potential, FSB seems good too.

So your board can do 570FSB? How stable is it? What VMCH?
Also your ram, what sticks and what vdimm ?
Gratz on results.

wow nice clocks on air cooling...
did you change the NB thermal paste is it stable???

yes 570 is a piece of cake, ram sticks are Supertalent T800uxgc4 with 3Vddr
Wow, might want to keep a fire extinguisher handy!Originally Posted by misteroadster
No, all is stock, passive nb and all ...
geez nice clock...
my P5b needed the thermal paste/gunk/pad lol removed and replaced with
artic5 to get past 430fsb...
must have been a bad connect or somthing...
what VMCH???
Stock settings, just vcore and vddr settled
NB, SB etc [Auto] in Bios?Originally Posted by misteroadster
if yes, the board set automatically higher voltages (look @ pcprobe 2)
OMFG....that is impressive...at stock
Looks like this a very nice board except for reported vdroop

how bad is the Vdroop on it??? It dosent seem to be affecting the clocks
at all lol...
thats a heck of a chip ya got there as well... wish mine would doo that...
though while lapping mine I belive its called a SMD on the bottom of the chip
mm well it fell off lol... the damb thing still runs though...
Strange really I've lapped prolly 100 chips by now and never had that happen...
So you gonna keep in on air or going to water or phaze???
This chip is really good for FSB on air, but not so good with more cooling, it's a good mobo tester
What about vdrops?

Did you use Clockgen to stay on 1066 strap?
As you can see on my screenshot , vdrop is about 0.02v.Originally Posted by M3kk

What voltage did you set in BIOS? And how much voltage is it measured with a DMM??Originally Posted by Pt1t

1.55v in bios , and it s real vcore.Originally Posted by GrossmeisterB

What do you mean it's "real" Vcore? Measured with a DMM or not?Originally Posted by Pt1t
I mean, you can't say "that sensor measures right", without having it checked with a DMM...
I'm about to buy that board as well, but I want to make sure there's not that huge drop of voltage under load like on t he p5b dlx for example...
thanks for your info!
misteroadster
Have the board here too but can't get the fsb over 553 at multi 9,
Multi 8x is 560
multi 6 is 576 no problem, its not cpu becouse it did 572x9 already on the p5b.
did you try at higher multi?
edit:
vcore above 1.80v results in lowering the vcore
example:
1.80 @bios = 1.77
1.85 @bios = 1.70
so max to get unmodded is 1.77 real vcore.

Sorry i've not the processor to have 590X9 .Originally Posted by Rol-Co
This 6600 is really fun for aircooling , you can give it 1.77V with 1.80 bios as you said, even with aircooling .
For the 557FSB Pi shot, i was at this vcore
This chip is so special.
Yes, there's some bug to be fixed, this board is not perfect yet.

Nice results so far roadster! Can you please play with strap changes if you have a chance and see if its the same as the other boards?
on a side note, does anyone know if this board supports dolby digital, all its says on the asus site is supreme fx and dts....thx
wow.

Salut Misterroadster
I'm just jealous. I can't even get to 500 FSB with mine, could you please give me your BIOS setup? I removed the stock heatsink, it was only 30% in contact. So I installed Artic Silver instead of the stock tape but it's not enought...
See you,
Thomas
I dont see max FSB for Q6600. Can you test litre more Q6600, and shere Max FSB with as.ThanksOriginally Posted by misteroadster
