    P5B-E Plus de FSB :)

    Hello,

I'm back to give some testing results with any Asus motherboard once again

Today i've got 4 P5Be-plus to compare, i was curious to see if there was a big difference between them, so i've tested them with a great 6600 (only) for FSB testing.

3 Of them was absolutely the same or i'm cpu (FSB) limited, only one stopped at 585 max screen.

Here was the results tested successfully with 3 of those, booted at 590 FSB from bios:

Unfortunately no 600+ for the moment :/ really strange, i can hit 595 with -30° cpu but with -65° it's not better ....

BTW : no special straps apparently, results are normal, not as strange than some 600+ posted some times ago.

FSB is not so great, 600 was passed for while, but stability is impressive.
566 was easy on air i've not tested more.

I'm really impressed by the homogeneity of the 4 boards, i thought find more differences.

So it's not visible from the outside? Like "rev. C2" printed near the chipset?

Will the P5B-E plus board work with the ordunary 4 pin 12 V connector or will it need the 8 pin, I have a hiper 480 watt version 2.2 but it only has 4 pin, many thanks.

Nice results. Im rather sure most P5B dlx @ E boards wil do 550 easy. Its the cpu that makes the difference. Low temps certainly help max fsb, 595 on E6600 is very nice

My P5B dlx runs fine with 4 pins connected.
