What is needed to paint radiator?

Hey guys wanna paint my radiator black. what kind of paint/primer should i use? Also what grit sandpaper? thanks

I didn't even sand it down. You can use 500 to scuff it up if you want.

Use masking tape to mask off barbs and fins(You can paint them if you want, but put paint on them at an angle and very, very light coat.)

Use primer on the sides, not fins.

I used automotive primer and paint. Alternatively you can buy som black ducttape and cover your rad up in it. Makes attaching shrouds a breeze also.

Read mnpctech's paint tutorial. It's a bit overkill for most people but the results are fantastic.
