Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them
Motherboard = Gigabyte DS3, F7 Bios
vDimm = 2.15
vMCH = 1.55
cant even break 500 with timing 5-5-5-15. Need advice...
imo, the gigabyte is one of the most picky boards ever. F7 is the latest bios?
memset shots are always nice

600! Well here's my timings at the moment on my P5b, I slacked them off to 6-6-6-18 to get over the 450mhz [i'm @ 457mhz & 2.25v iirc] - otherwise I left all other BIOS timings as they were.Originally Posted by ozzimark

do you hit the same limit with all the memory ratios? doe increasing MCH voltage help any?

I'm as high as I want to go on NB volts (1.55), & I've only run 1:1 since I need the cpu mhz for maximum folding I'll let it run overnight & have another crack at it tomorrow.
The SPD on these sticks: 400mhz/3-4-3-9-22 (2T) & 533mhz/5-5-5-15-0 (2T).
seems a bit ambitious to me. Does CPu-z read these correctly in general?
1:This ram , and lot of ram better run AMD then Intel. AMD use integrated memory controller...Originally Posted by ozzimark

jimwah, you max out at 450mhz with 6-6-6-18.. how far can you get with 4-4-3-11 at the same volts?

yea f7 the latest. ds3 not perform well on d9? what about p5b vanilla?Originally Posted by ozzimark
I used the 6-6-6-18 just to bump me over the 450mhz barrier I seemed to hit with 5-5-5-15; 457mhz on the slacker settings ran all night without issue.Originally Posted by ozzimark
4-4-3-11 just bombed out of orthos Large FFT's after 3 mins @ 400mhz/2.25v; I rebooted at 410 just to see how close to the limit they were, & the BIOS hard locked Tried 410/4-4-4-11 & it hard locked again Back to the baggy settings until I get some more time to play later.
I see this kit is rated at 2.0-2.2v. Will it boot a P5B-E at 1.8v ????

Thanks. I going to get the -E or Deluxe, so hopefully won't encounter that problem.Originally Posted by lowfat
My PC2-8000 Team kit is rated 2.1-2.3V, & it booted fine with my P5B Deluxe defaults.

I don't think it is my ram that is holding my OC's back but my P5B-D. I can't even post with 2.2V dimm the majority of the time. So hopefully with a different board I'll be able to take the OC higher.

Anyone know why the TG stuff can reach such low TRAS?
I was testing mine out last night, & i could do DDR2-1050 5-5-4-4, though not Orthos stable for more than 45 minutes.
Is the low TRAS capable because of the Intel chipsets, or is it just Team Group RAM that can do such a low TRAS.
I'm not complaining obviously
Just curious why it can run so low as opposed to normal values.

I don't know I think it is the Intel. I had 2 sets of OCZ that could hit Tras 4 at all latencies the ram was otherwise stable at. My Team Groups could do it too but couldn't keep it stable. Then went from 4 to 5 and teamgroups were stable.
i have this memory why does cpuz say these timings?
can anyone help
thanks

hm, looks like a boo-boo with the spd programmer... i wouldn't worry about it

you can either PM me for solution or pm teamusoffice, we are more than happy to correct that.

This is the same SPD on my sticks as aceuk's.Originally Posted by jimwah
