    Smile ABIT IN9 32X - MAX VMods...

    Hello again....

Here are "some" Vmods of the ABIT IN9 32X - MAX mobo.....I don't have much time to do some explanations right now about them but I'll be back....

Let's start with these mods and I'll update time to time....

A big thanks for esdee's digicam (mine is gone for RMA and still nothing )

These are two mods in the same picture....
VMCH (VNorthbrigde) and VFSB (VTT of the CPU)...

These are also two mods in the same picture...
VSP (VSouthbridge) and VHT (VHyper Transport)

This is the VCore of it......The same might be for the ABIT Quad GT as well but I'll take a look for it so as to be sure....

LAST - for now - are the VGTLRef mods.....These mods are esspecially for the QUAD CPUs so as to reach HIGHER fsbs....
By doing those ones, I got my QUAD (actually Gorillakos') from 3D benching at 355MHz to reach 404MHz - still searching it though for higher - under AIR.....
It's a bit complicated though BUT if you print the picture and follow the traces, you'll understand it.....

For this mod credits MUST be given to Freecableguy who has pointed out the pins of the CPU and said that we need VGTLRef mods so as to take our QUAD at a higher fsb....

I'll be back with some more though.....
I forgot to capture the VMCH booster mod that IS NEEDED TOO....It's like the ABIT's AW9D-MAX mod......A cable on the back of the mobo....

Any question you might have, I'll be glad to answer....

Yes it says something about beast on the box....

I had about 4 - 5 litters of LN2 left and I tested it a bit......at 5250MHz it was fully 3D stable.....I couldn't test higher though coz LN2 finished.....I'll get some of it on Monday (I hope) so as to fully test it....

I must confess that at that frequency I didn't encode NOT EVEN ONE problem....No freezes, no reboots, NOTHING as I was encoding with the ASUS Striker one....With the Striker 10 times into windows, I could bench only the 2 or 3 of them...the other ones where reboots of freezes...

Very nice, that is what i waited for.

Can someone post "better" pics of the VGTLRef Mods? It's hard to see some points really clear.

Pic of VMCH Booster would be nice, too...

    TIA!

Unfortunatelly when esdee came in my place and took those photos of the mobo, he forgot to capture the back side of it......Afterwards I HAD to insulate it so as to bench and now it's impossible to do so.......
If you have a picture of the back of the mobo, I could point it to you....

hipro, could you please reupload the VGTLRef picture with small dots which mark the SMDs? I really can't figure out which SMDs are marked by the large arrows...

    Thank you!...

Here is another shot of the VGTLRef mod. I have double checked with George that these are the actual spots.

No need for Vdroop......IF you mod the VCore and adjust it so to show you what you have picked within bios, you're OK.....

i remember you were asking for opbcleaner in a thread i donīt remember hipro5,so i post it here.

    http://members.aon.at/basco/

will try the vtt mod for in9-got xeon 3060 here that does fsb1950x8(ram at 1170mhz at 2,20v) with just 1,44v,but needs 1,55vtt from fsb 1600 to stabilize-could boot at fsb2075x8 on striker but not stable-no matter what voltage more or less.

i know you played with a striker before-maybe you have a vtt mod for this mobo too-would be very pleased about it.

sorry if i spoiled your thread.

    thanks in advance

i just had another look at OPB Cleaner

here is what the batch file does

seem innocent enough i guess .....maybe worth testing to see if it makes any difference in performance
    Code:
    @echo off
echo OPB is cleaning your garbages in your computer, please wait......
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*.tmp
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*._mp
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*.log
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*.gid
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*.chk
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\*.old
    del /f /s /q %systemdrive%\recycled\*.*
    del /f /s /q %windir%\*.bak
    del /f /s /q %windir%\prefetch\*.*
    rd /s /q %windir%\temp & md %windir%\temp
    del /f /q %userprofile%\cookies\*.*
    del /f /q %userprofile%\recent\*.*
    del /f /s /q "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*"
    del /f /s /q "%userprofile%\Local Settings\Temp\*.*"
    del /f /s /q "%userprofile%\recent\*.*"
    echo hahahaha it is DONE!!
    echo. & pause

just before benching i run it 1x-just to be sure you got a clean house-did not notice a difference in benchresults.
i prefer this really small tool instead of other cleaners.

    regards

ps:i have an unpleasent feeling that my in9 maxes out at fsb 1655.
canīt boot anything above no matter the divider or multi used.
the cpu and ram are proofen to be stable at much higher frequencies.
do you think i am the fool or this could be real??
got 3x680i mobos-evga tops at 1799, striker in progress right now-bootet at fsb 2075 but not stable yet,and in9 as above.
