yes i did, used to only be stable to 3600 ish. but when i flashed to 1405 (1402?) the other day, i lost it. back to 1305 now.

thats not actual voltage. After about 1.45v cpu-z reads 1.213v all the time.

Nice results though. Too bad we dont get any of that 4ghz on air, like all the ES's had us predicting. Or atleast not in the quantities we expected.

batch is L626A167

vcore is at set to 1.5375 in bios, most programs measure it at 1.526v.
i am using an xp90 with a medium speed panaflo (around 1800rpm) and my side panel is off. ambient around 24c.
idle is 35c, load when running orthos was around 54-55c.
vmch, fsb term and ich are all dimed out. the nb and sb hs get warm to the touch. i added the asus supplied squirrel cage fan to the hs over the mosfets.

What rev of the P5W - is that 1.65 Mch or 1.85v?

in bios
on the jumperfree page
set ai overclocking to manual
set cpu freq to 411
set dram freq to ddr2 822

leave performance mode on auto,
or standard. dont use turbo.

it wont boot with divider set to anything higher than 1/1. i havent tried anything lower yet. havent tried to tweak ram timings yet, as there is no performance to be gained with this. after i set pcie clock to 110mhz (read it somewhere) was able to oc fsb over 400. i have no idea why. i didnt get good results with the pci clock synch mode set to auto, either, so i set it to 33.33mhz. i havent tried to run at this speed with lower vcore, vmch, fsb term, or ich voltage yet. so it may be possible.

got board in may. got cpu 8/21. was stuck on 3150 (9x350) for a week or so. then out of nowhere eith er the cpu or board sped up. all bios from 801 on pretty much the same, except most recent, 1405, which did not work too tough on my board.

you should. they seem to be getting better by the week. only thing is 66/6700 need a little vcore, which is not a prob with me personally. but this forum seems to be anti-voltage for some reason. also, it looks like the only mainboards for good oc's with the 4mb l2 conroes is the p5w-dh, and maybe the p5w work station boards. SO FAR.
3400mhz and up seems easily doable with 6600/p5w and 1.45v vcore or so. according to the hardocp c2d oc db, which is a good resource.

there is good info re chips, which weeks, batch, what mainboards, what vcore, what cooling, etc over at hardforums intel cpu forum in the conroe overclocking database thread. as far as batch goes, i dont think this matters as much for c2d as it did for opty/x2. or maybe there isnt a large enough sample yet to determine what affect batch# has.

Hmmm, I think if i can get a replacement for my fubbared DS3 I think it will have to be the P5W DH as you seem to have managed to get a good OC out of it

I've had mine @ 3600 mhz...with 1.475 vcore and the rest on default...exept for the ram 0o.

So now at least i know what i have to increase to get it totally stable (it wasnt prime stable yet...)

i was wondering how well my XP-90 might hold up to 1.45v + with the conroe.
since im thinking of moving back to air.
i only need 1.437 for 3.7 and 1.34 for 3.6ghz so it will be cooler.

is this all done with everything in your case or outside on a table.

nice one. great vcore. does your cpu have anything in common with mine (l626a167) or did we just get lucky on the mainboards? are you going for the vmch mod? any opinion on the abit aw9d max? lots of questions.
