So, I need to build myself a coaxial heat exchanger with 1/4 tubing inside 3/8 tubing. I see in the catalogs that a copper reducer tee exists, down to the ref store, the guy only has one fitting on the shelf,I take it, he'll get some more from other stores sent over. Next day, they went to the wrong stores, but there were only a few of them to begin with, so they had to come from many separate stores. Anyway, they'll be in on Tuesday, so I tell the guy to forget it, and I machine my own (write the CNC code so I can make them easily next time).
What gives? I see a lot of builders here just sort of squishing down larger sized tees instead of using reducing tees. Are these hard to come by everywhere? Had I known I would have ordered them in advance...
