No probs that's what this thread is here for vdimm you could do pencil mod but i prefer to keep things at stock for now heh.Originally Posted by Jack

Do all the Rev. 1.02G have that high of VMCH enabled? That's the revision I have but I don't have my conroe yet x.x I'm so damn excited to plug this thing in just to find that out :POriginally Posted by Pjoeloe
Edit: I did read that thread, too.. It wasn't really clear that Rev.102G have 1.85VMCH.
Nope 1.02g some have 1.65v and some 1.85v mch.

this is an Asus app we are talking about. We should not have to "get used to it". They should FIX IT. Is is painfully slow even on the fastest system and like you said the readings are all over the place. Come on Asus, get on the ball and give us a little monitoring app that actually works, and while you are at it, loose the cutsey (ugly), stupid, bloated interface of both ai and pcProbe2. yuck . . .Originally Posted by eva2000
That rant asside, this is the most informative thread I have read here in a long time. Kudos!! and thanks!

It sounds like watercooling the chipset may not be worth the trouble as compared to just using a third party chipset cooler with a fan. By the way, I've been running at 1.85v on the chipset and temps really haven't been really all that bad with a heatpipe style chipset cooler. Mostly low 40's I would say.

could be a bad chipset mount by me hehe won't know until i do a remount later
as to monitoring are we talking about same thing ? i'm talking about bios not windows apps like AI Booster/PC Probe2

No I was referring to your comment about aibooster or pcprobe apps that just don't work right. Did the waterblock for the chipset come with those little mounting hooks?Originally Posted by eva2000

oh that... well i never said to get use to it for ai booster/pc probe 2 issues... i was referring to bios monitoring temp freeze
the hook threads are optional extras you order with radiical chipset block you will need to order them in addition to the chipset block IIRC AUD$5 extra = US$3.75-4.00 extra... you normally need to bend them yourself to suit your board's hooks but i asked if they could bend them for me as they look like they're fit for me heh

Soooo .... did you ever check your northbridge waterblock mount? Was it good?
Sourcing parts for a mildly over clocked abacus.
well i remounted it and got an even lower max fsb by around 4fsb at each vMCH voltage lol
remounted again and got slightly better than 2nd mount... but yes a good mount means better fsb... i'm going for a 4th mount soon since i'm trying this P5W DH on phase http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=114486
---
Interesting when setting up my phase change gear and transporting the chipset cooling loop over to the new position, I noticed the MCP350 pump outlet barb tubing had been kinked for a while now as you can see the tubing near the outlet barb had memory effect of a collapsed tubing... maybe this is a possible reason why i didn't gain much in max fsb on water cooled chipset ??

hey eva ... can you post a pic of the Extreme spirit II on your chipset ? did you just cut off the pipe or if not, how are you cooling the mofsets near the cpu socket ??? I am planning to add some additional cooling to my NB chipset ...
thanks !!!
