I'm on a 7600gt/DS3/6300. Seems fine for OC as far a 475FSB. Not sure if the card is holding me back though.

    lol the card lol..
good stuff though just keep her cool and give her lots of juice.
especially the northbridge. mount a 40mm fan on it or find a way to have an 80mm blowing across it or something similar.

When is the DS3's "F4c" going to become "F4"? Or "F4d"? I want a new BIOS! Of course things are workin' pretty well here, don't wanna break nuthin'!

Is a new beta coming soon for the DS3? If not, I'm going to give F4c a try tonight.

i'd like to post my findings that i made today...hope it'll help...

    1. i'm still using the 7600gt to OC and to my surprise, when i switched it from DVI to vga output, the OC CAN be done. this may prove that probably my gfx actually have problem.

    2. i'm able to OC using single channel of ram and not dual channel ie. using only 1 stick. i've ran dual channel to OC and it worked before, but somehow or rather, now only 1 stick will work with OC. both rams passed memtest. my opinion would be might be the value select ram is a bit too crappy to the board's liking.

    3. try not to plug in USB mouse. my board is able to OC without USB mouse. Ps2 mouse will do just fine. this also applies to keyboard.

    4. when i OC with all the above conditions, the enabling of usb legacy support doesn't really come into play. i guess it's not affecting mine.

that's all that i've found out for today. i'm still not OC-ing my board cos no PS2 mouse. btw, i'm getting another replacement gfx and hope to post more findings.

what is the exact difference between USB mouse and no USB mouse in your overclocks? Was it zero overclock with the mouse or just slight improvment by removing it?

    Im having trouble booting with GA-965P-S3 + E6300 with ADATA DDR2 533, 2x512.
Ive noticed a few people with similar problems but with all different RAM.

seems like a lot of generic RAM at 667 works better....

any ideas, will this be fixed?

    thanx

    guys, i got a question :

    im using ds3 with 6600 and cheap 667 cl5 ram(infineon, 1.8V). boots fine at 667/cl5 or 533/cl4

i don't want to OC in the next time and also never use a raid, so should i update bios(got f1 at the moment) or will it make no difference ?

of course i'll update bios in few weeks, when my additionel fans are build in, but at the moment, for non OC rig ?

I am able to overclock with a USB mouse and keyboard since they won't work if I use as PS2. These are the G7 mouse and G15 keyboard. It seem that my E6400 doesn't like my PQI pc5400 memory. I been up to 325mhz already but my memory doesn't like it with the E6400. But when I had my Presler in it had no problem running memory at 348mhz 4,4,4,13. I can run at stock speeds with memory and E6400 just fine but if I try to overclock or just run the memory at 333mhz it just gives me errors in window. I tried upping the memory voltage and MCH but that made no difference. I am gonna buy some different memory on Friday.

Don't lynch me folks, I have a DQ6, but I need to ask, why are we not seeing any Gigabyte boards in The Official Core 2 Duo Overclocking Thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=106321 its all Intel and ASUS.

I'm willing to have faith in Gigabyte, though their tech support website question submission database has been dead for at least 24 hours http://groups.google.com/group/alt.c...2f4fb091afacca

I'm having a crisis of faith, but they do seem to be delivering new BIOS at least.

Incidentally, the DS3 DS4 DQ6 (start with D) have the solid capacitors. Has anyone actually seen a DS4, none in USA or Taiwan AFAIK.

lol, what does that mean? it means nothing at all!

I would recommend you to browse some more forums instead of crying here.
