I'll agree here. I was idling 20 C at stock, which I'm pretty sure is almost impossible since it'd have to be damn cold in my house to be that low.

Gonna try out this F4E after I max out the F3 BIOS. Just got my rig together last night. The PIO mode thing is annoying and I can't install any games until I fix it (using RAID games drive), but I'm gonna miss not having to clear the CMOS on a failed o/c.

anyone else having issues with any of the bios's getting to 1000mhz on the ram ?
my gskill HZ's cant do over 925-ish without getting a ton of errors.
    nothing i do helps....

I have a DS4 which does the same thing. Perhaps you could try using a VGA cable connected to your graphics card using a DVI to VGA adapter. I tried that and that works for me.

    Ken,

can you ask your guys if they are seeing any issues with the DS3 with memory past 900mhz.

i have tried 3 different kits of ram, and one of them is the Gskill HZ. and nothing i do makes them stable past 900-925mhz Dram.
The cpu multi does not matter, the fsb setting doesnt matter, voltage... CAS none of that matters, single channel or dual channel, 2 sticks or 1. nothing works.

can you ask the gigabyte guys if they know about this and if there is a fix or possible fix ?

so slow ram good cpu clocks ? hhmm

    anyways...

i wonder if they will RMA it since the baord cant handle it and most other people can ?

kenofstephen, please ask Gigabyte if they can put back the fewture ( F3 bios had that ) that if the board is not stable while booting with a to high OC, you don`t have to manual reset the bios but you can boot with a safe clock. This is a pain in the ass with the new F4E.... thanks

that's wierd because i've never had this problem with any of the Bios's. Mine just reboots and goes back to stock clocks.
