Very nice, but I feel 3D would be even more amazing with ~5GHz.

I've been watching the conroe progress for a while now and am amazed by it's performance. Well done coolaler fantastic work especially since your dropping hints and tips regarding performance and settings. It does strike me as strange that nobody thought to disable the second cpu as we have all been disabling the 'virtual cpu (hyperthreading)' for years in order to improve performance.

    Simply amazing.

Where has HiPro been? I want to see if he can push Conroe like how he pushed the Pentium M platform.

    Keep up the great work

I have learned to shut my mouth when speculating about the performance of Conroe, every day now Coolaler breaks the WR. It really is an amazing chip that just seems to be able to keep on going. I think we can thank AMD for pissing off Intel and bringing us in to a new CPU renaissance. If Intel can keep up with its 2 year per microarchitecture plans, we can expect unparalled growth in processing power well into the 2010s. But we cant count AMD out just yet, K8L and K10 might be able to turn the tide once again on Intel. Either way, we win, better chips at cheaper prices, what more could you want?

Well done as usual Coolaler! Go for 8.XXXs (5670mhz+ on the same setup)

Not to diss anyone but so far i would hardly call this a race. It's all been coolaler latly with his golden whitbox cpu. There is been only few 5.1G+ Conroe overclock i seen. And the closest clock is 200mhz behind now.

Lets hope this will all change when Conroe will go mainstream so manny more people can play with it

are there only certain motherboard's BIOS'S that allow you to disable the 2nd core? if so what option should you look for to be able to do this? through the BIOS not msconfig.
