An easy vdimm = vio mod

These are some pixs of my mod. The advantage is not to void your warranty.

More details: Apply a layer of double sided tape, then connect a wire into (+) leg of the capacitor. Wired it through the mounting hole, and then connect to the 3.3V leg of PSU jack. Apply another layer of double sided tape onto the wire for protection. Finished the mod.
PS: Damn my bad English, hope ppl understand what I said.

set to 1.8 (3.6v measured off top leg of top heatsinked FET (If you look close, you can see all the dimples from measuring )

Interestingly enough new board measures 3.7V there. Guess I won't need to raise it

The FET is there to be able to adjust the "Memory Voltage" from 2.6V to 2.85V. No board maker give you 3.3V for the memory....

so connectiing the 3.3V line to Fet output shoudl work, but it does not.

If you are wanting Vdimm=Vio(3.3v rail), you need to connect the 3.3v rail to the +Ve side of the capacitor that is in the Vdimm loop.

Heh, I think I am starting to have power issues with this board now...
Anyone know how to do Mosfet mods, etc. It seems like there are lots of solder pad open for additional voltage regulation but I have no idea which one to touch. As for CPU cap mod, which cap is the one for CPU?

Yea, its naked :banana4: :banana4: :banana4: In the pic, the wire is floating, it dont contact with those registors . If you aware of short circuit problem, apply a thermal tape on to those registors or just coat the wire with electric tape.

I don't think the VDD mod is the true vdd

trace voltages off the northbridge chip are outputting 1.680 v on my board
i've increased to 1.75v but I keep seeing 1.680 from the chipset.
New specs to appear here >.< sometime soon.
in the mean time i'm using me shuttle
    tis fast enough for now.....
<doh in me dream tis slow> no vmod / no PSU mods / no phasechange how can it be fast

As I dont have time to read the entire thread again, can someone tell me what regulator is under the CoreCell sink?

That's just a intersil chip like the HIP ones that's for the Vcore easy mod alot of boards are using it these day's got the pdf datasheet somewhere for that.

Pin 10 to Ground if I remember right...

VDD is correct power trace from chip leads back to the leg of the Mosfet outlined for VDD its not VDD lack of power holding things back

What is that chip I circled?

Also, what are those blue/red wires running to...just volt monitoring?

He shot that pic and mentioned the ISL chip so we can look at going more than 2v on the cpu.

How many of them are present on the board around the socket?

    As far as I can tell 1 * 6601

    And.. 1 * 6602 can't see any others

That said there were some mosfets on the underside of the board, can't remember if any other IC's existed.

Boards all mounted in so can't do much much hunting around until tommorrow.

Interesting... the "VDD" mod doesn't do sqaut on this particular board i have (which i replaced thinking this is the better one... the one I sold in fact was much better... blast me).
However, I did notice some gain when I previously modded for this. (About 10-20mhz more FSB overclocking). What is this actually feeding? Curious and curiouser.
