After which, the team will attempt to make the suggested changes that we see fit. Then after that we activate the next team, this may seem slow but we want to get this right. Each member of the team is given a link to a specific copy that contains a tracker Code, thus we will know if anyone leaks it. No worries, such a feature will be removed for the Release version.

Any chance you could PM those that are on teams. I know I'd love to know what number team im on and how many teams are ahead of me...

if you would prefer, I can email you when you are to be activated. However for warning of which team will not be given, to prevent cooperation between team members.

Keep in mind, the XSOS does not fall within warez limits due to the legality issues nn_step has set up with Microsoft. This link to a torrent has NOTHING to do with XSOS and is NOT ALLOWED.

    **EDITed by IFMU**

As I said in the PM to you, this is NOT allowed. This is WAREZ.

    You MUST re-read the
    Forums Rules & Guidelines
and it more than likely would not hurt for you to read the Announcement on
    Warez, Crackz, and Copyrighted Material.

I better not find this posted again or you will recieve a perma ban.

I'd be interested in beta testing this in future. So if you want a hand from someone with a fair amount of experience at it, give me a PM.

Other than nn_step, who are the guys behind this?

The major people behind it is Microsoft because without their assistance our project never would have been possible

Not really... I've put my name on the testing-list so I hope to receive a download-link soon, but I also understand that nn_step has better things to do than sending PM's to people telling them when they'll get it or in what beta-group they are.

Patience can be a nice thing sometimes...

to make everyone happy, I'll make one time only miss. Meaning if you miss the download I bump you one team. Which should give you 2 week warning. Does that sound fair to everyone?

This all sounds very promising. I'm still on the beta-testing list right nnstep? :P I'd be worried how this would play with anti-cheat systems in certain games (PunkBuster, VAC, Warden). A few of these systems don't play well when being used on Unix/Linux systems with applications such as WINE/Cedega. I remember not so long ago a large number of WoW players using Cedega were banned because Warden was detecting something either present or missing that put up a red flag. I wonder how these AC systems will play with XSOS. I'm definately not gonna be playing WoW on XSOS until I've tested the risk of being struck with the banstick using a trial account, or I've seen somebody else give it a try. I know PunkBuster has issues with Vista (playing ET, I've seen several people automaticly kicked for various game integrity errors, and I've even seen people getting their GUID's PERMANENTLY banned because of false positives arising from playing under Vista (albeit the beta release), so I'd be even more worried about PB violations while playing under XSOS, as it'd be even more alien for PB, with more possible false-positives. I don't know about VAC or other anticheat systems.
