I was wondering what some of you with 4 Ghz+ P4's &/or high end AMD ocs are getting with this when you calculate 1 million digits.
My best for 1 million is 38 Seconds.

http://www.oc-central.dk/pics/superpi.jpg
1 second slower at 2610 ( 227 x 11.5 )
Mine does 40 sec. for 1M.
I have a friend who's done it in 19 seconds :slobber: :owned:

(YES, linux, everything tweaked to the MAX, but still ;) AMD 1.4 I believe :) )
Ten progs running in background :p
why is yours so much slower belgian dude than bias_hjorth's is?
Here's mine for 2.8g's

You can't compair a different program, that's like compairing apples and oranges.Quote:

I like your sig bias, you should make the text more legible though:)
I think b/c he's got some 10 MHz more FSB (bandwidth) and some 100MHz more CPU speed.Quote:

It feels like i'm leaning towards 39 sec, if i can OC just slightly more i'll do 39sec.
No it's not, this is just like "Super-PI for linux", if you know what I mean ....Quote:

Just tried that test.
Is 33s OK?
It's 33 sek on 4260 and also 33s at 4353 ?
funni test.
33 is real good, the 4 Ghz people usually get 34
damn my lowly 40 sec just blows at 3.4ghz
hmm I wonder how Learn gets a second beter than me, when we have the same cpu speed & mem timings
i still get 38 at that speed, 2-3-3-7 ocz gold
new record for me :D
set super pi to "real time" , it help a little
closed all unused process
also, super pi like low timing...
i hope, you can understand me
it' s pretty hard for me to hit 36s, water 17°c

Going full throttle gave me this:
Here's mine......... :D

hipro5 - I can't believe you aren't under 30s yet, lol. Good to see you around again "mem master". :toast:
damn you hipro!:D
is that on your r404 modded prommy? I remember a topic of yours from ocers about the 3.0 es & 3.2 es you had, nice stuff there
45 seconds, 2.4B @ 3466Mhz, 845E board, never got around to running it on my IC7 before it died. The motherboard is limiting me from going any higher (CPU has done 3.65Ghz on the IC7).
http://boards.slackercentral.com/use...perPi45sec.JPG
did you end up ordering a new cpu. I remember you making a new topic.....hoping to see some nice numbers soon from you
Thanks M8........... :D :toast:Quote:

P4 3.2GHz ES chip , does 4030MHz with default VCore(1.55Volts) running 2 x Prime95 with Hyper Threading Enable.........It's a good chip.......Still testing........ ;) :D
I'm contemplating getting a 2.4C (ES or a Malay) or the 3.0C. I've still gotta get my evap from baker so I can get my R404 ready to go. I'm going to scout the closest PC shops for Malays next week- but I'm expecting that for the price that one would cost ~$226 locally, when I can just spend an extra $75 or so and get a fresh 3.0C online.Quote:

Have you hit the chips max yet?
also, why dont you 3dmark? Your quite skilled with cpu stuff, why not stick a pelt on whatever video card you have & set the world record for your card???
Not yet as I want to........ ;)Quote:

whats the highest you can hit on that 4 ghz stock voltage chip you have
If you mean my highest score on my VGA card , is about 9700 marks in 3DMark2001SE and 401 marks on 3DMark2003 supporting only one test :DQuote:

I have to disagree. You have to use the same program. Use wine if you want, but not another program.Quote:

Edit: Error-run? loop 19 missing.

I think my CPU is stabil at this speed, the mem might be a little on the edge.
hipro, on P4C800 of course ;)
A strange thing has happen to me too......When I was with the P4 2.66(533) and I ran S-Sandra Multimedia bench, the score should be about, if I remember well, 14000 and it was something like 47000.....The program crap out........ :DQuote:

i have no back ground programs running so i dont know what the problem is?
Sorry guys dont have a screenie as it was done a few days ago for stability testing but I can get 35seconds for 1M tests at I think it was 4ghz with 286fsb using 5/4 divider at Auto/Strength/6cycles/Enabled/Enabled

folding has more of a point than seti
i dont think dry ice kills all your stuff like LN2 does??? does it?
Hipro, I rekon we are very similar in our OCing goals etc etc....:):)Quote:

I use a normal everyday rig for my ocing adventures, folding, browsing, heck Im even posting from it now :D
Thats why I take pride in my Ocs cos its done with an everyday pc....not something setup on a bench that will run for 10 mins....and im not just talking about dry ice and/or LN2 guys ;)
I know its going to be very very hard to get that 3 seconds from you Hipro...but my friend you just layed down a challenge that I am quite happy to try and fulfill
While on the topic of superpi....can u delete a file that will delete your past results? Cos I have been using the same superPI dir for over 12 months now. It just sits on the storage drive and I put the shortcut on the desktop using, thus using the same results and files all the time....So can I delete anything?
Cheers guys :toast:
ps
Amoeba Assassin, just fold for Team 24 bud :D
You can delete the "pi_rec.txt" file and you are fresh again....... ;)
