Can't wait for results! :D
Yes. Finally someone with the skills to make that card scream.
Awesome stuff! Will be interesting to see how it eventually fares.
suscrib'd
can't wait :D
cool
Sampsa, are you going to share stock, OC on air and then your "tweaked" setup results when the NDA is lifted on the 14th right?
wooo i am very excited for this card.. i sure hope it delivers.
lol imagines Kinc with the two cards going off in his dungeon hahaha :D
No need for post to sub gang! ;)

Yes I actually registered one+ year ago, because somehow I predicted that in March 2007 I would be working for AMD and I had to make sure that I'd be able to post in XtremeSystems :p
HaLDoL, I've been writing reviews for various magazines and websites for quite a few years, I didn't register here to do PR work. Sampsa is a friend, and I want to see what he can do what that baby, simple as that. Furthermore, read my sig - I don't post here as a PR person, but as me. So no need to be so cautious :)
Subscribed.
AM looking forward to seeing if my money will head to the XT or the XL.
I will stick with NDA unlike some other people who attended Tunis event and already posted pretty much all the details of the card. There are also quite alot false information floating around the internet regarding Radeon HD 2900 XT.. main source is one particular site which is not so hard to guess.
Anyway, there is actually quite alot overclocking headroom in R600 GPU and AMD GPU Clock Tool seems to be working just fine. I had a problem with Powerstrip beta-version which was limited to driver's limits. Now we just need to wait for new version of ATITool which brings voltage adjustments for R600 and I'll run tests under dry ice cooling. Hopefully that'll be next week.
PS. 1000/1000 MHz clock speeds at techPowerUp!'s screenshot are pretty modest :fact:
Kombatant, nice to see you again :)
nice to hear sampsa, i think we are going to get a nice surprise with results from these cards
on a side note samps if you have a quad sli power supply which has 4 pcie 6 pin power connectors can you use 2 pcie (6 pin) power cables on each card i see they have a six and 8 pin connector on each card, or do you just use the single connector on each card supposing you had 2 cards in crossfire
I imagine the part being modest there is the ram clocks...don't think the gpu can go that much higher at 80nm...Quote:

Perkam
yes thats right i read somewhere that you can still use the 6 pin pcie on the 8 pin one on the card if you have one available to use like you have 4 x 6 pcie power 6 pin cables as on a quad sli psu like the tagan 1100 as an example so you could still have 2 power adapters on each card
1350mhz?:D :lol2: have you hit 1400 yet?
:slobber:
Kinc...make that card :worship: before you!
Or is this a little :fart:?
:toast:
