I will be using 4 x Yate loons at full speed in a push//pull config...
Here are my choices: Note... please dont reccomend a Thermochill as they are out of my budget.
-Black Ice Pro 2
-Black Ice Pro 2 X-Flow
-Swiftech MCR-220
-Coolrads 22T
Which will give me the best temps with my fans?

Yep the Swiftech MCR-220 is the best if you have limited budget.
now if i want to go for more performance ater on with like 75cfm fans, will the MCR still be the best then?

Based on this test the MCR-220 is better than BIP2 or the others in that test. PA.120.2 would surely be best but this thread was about budget rad's.Quote:

Lothar I think that's the reasoning behind everyone's recommendation of the swiftech over the coolrads
What make you assume the CoolRad will not perform comparable to the PA series? In any case here is my view on this

Lothar, we dont know (yet). I know maxxx intends to test radiators, including the 22T and 32T that youve offered, when hes done with all the blocks and he has to test.
Im just a user, but I for one will be more than happy to able to recommend your rads, depending on how well they test... but until then, theyre an unknown quantity... nothing personal against coolingworks :)
Fair enough. For those making assumptions CoolRads have 12 FPI and BIX have 17.5 FPI and PAs are 9-10FPI. The CoolRads are about 1/4-inch thinner than the PA series. So slightly higher fin density but thinner radiator. Please at lest consider all the factors when jumping to conclusions.Quote:

Something like that aye, we'll know for sure in a month or 2 when maxxx gets round to testing them, but something tells me thats not the timeframe youre looking for ;p
lol does anyone know if a BIP3 will fit in the top of a V2000? if yes, then all is good and i can wait 2 months
the Swiftech MCR-220 and Coolrads 22T will most likely perform VERY similarly, except wtih the coolrads, will most likely win with fans in the 70CFM and above range. below 70CFM I wont even venture a guess.
My thoughts come from the fact that the Coolrads 22T is a relative copy of the PA series, but isnt as thick IIRC.
I will get around to testing some of these rads at some point, but without an envirochamber, results will not be 100% accurate.

yes the cool rads are dual row.
well, in a few days, my case will arrive and i will let you guys know if the BIP3 fits......
